Clearly Besotted September Teasers Day 1

Hello everyone! How’s your summer been? I’ve spent some of it hiding from the heat and the rest being really thankful that I get to use the washing line to dry all our clothes! Haha. It’s time for teasers again and I’m doing a very specific theme for this month; encouragement. So please forgive me that the designs are pretty similar but I’m only really focussing on two main sets- one today and one for the rest of the posts. I’m not a fan of Halloween so I’m doing something very different!

We all need to be brave about different things. Whether it’s a first world problem or something really difficult I can think of lots of friends I could send this to. The set is called ‘Scaredy Cat’ and there are a fair few images you could use all year round.

The lettering is a Tim Holtz set called Alphanumeric Classic Lower-it’s an older set but I’m sure you’ve got something similar in your stash. You’ll be seeing a fair bit of this set this week. I’ve kept the colour scheme pared back and simple. I have really enjoyed creating more clean and simple cards – that’s what I really tended to do years ago- I must make some proper CAS designs again.

The little spider looks so friendly and cute- I wish all spiders were that cute. Our kitchen cabinets aren’t solid ones and sadly we have a fair number of visiting spiders including some pregnant ones (eeeeek!). Thankfully my husband or son does the honours and removes them. Shudder.

I’ve tried to add a little interest by adding dots to each letter. A tiny detail but it really does make a difference. Try it on your projects to see what I mean!
