Clearly Besotted October Release Day

Welcome to the Clearly Besotted Release Day!! There are 8 fabulous sets (more than I’ve been able to showcase) so check out the Facebook page to see them all in detail. For this last day I decided to use the elegant ‘Snow Scenes’ set.

There are lots of people who you might not want to send cute cards to, but this set is great for a whole host of people. I didn’t do anything with the set other than just colour it in, but you could do something wonderful with just the top and adding stencilled fireworks in for New Year’s greetings.

Yet again, I’ve liberally added glitter wherever I could. It’s fair to say that I’m actually wearing a good deal on my face too; that stuff just gets everywhere!

You might have noticed that the images are centred properly with each other. That’s because I had intentions of doing a different design and cutting each section out, but then I decided to just colour them as I’d stamped them, hoping you wouldn’t mind my inaccuracy!

There’s something warm and welcoming about the set, even thought it’s a cityscape. I really rather love it.

It’s time to go and see the rest of the team. First up is the Clearly Besotted Blog. Then onto Michelle, Lisa and our lovely guests Francine and Alberto (on Instagram).

As usual, the release goes live at 8pm GMT (BST). All sets are available tonight on the Clearly Besotted store and also from Simon Says Stamp , Art CreatiuCloud 9 Crafts and Card Nouveau too.

Don’t forget to enter into the giant giveaway over on the Facebook page for Clearly Besotted. It’s always a major prize winning the whole release!

I’d love to hear about your favourite sets of this release. Which ones are you eyeing up?!

See you soon,

Clearly Besotted October Teasers Day 4

Hey! Welcome to another day of teasers. I hope you’re all feeling the festive spirit and are enjoying the teasers. We’re going a little further afield today with a little card starring some Christmassy cacti. How fun would these be in your house. We’ve also got a little meerkat popping up through the snow covered soil!

Clearly Besotted always designs the most fun stamp sets and there are merry meerkats ready to mingle amongst the succulents and cactus plants. This set is called Merry Meerkat !

Isn’t the sentiment just perfect?! I’d like to say there’ll be some sharp dressing in our house over Christmas but I have a feeling it’ll be relaxed and comfy. I’m not sure there’ll be the same amount of Christmas night outs as previously, but you can dream!

There’s plenty of snow glitter to jolly up proceedings and the meerkat looks like he’s having just the best time. All the images have been coloured in with Copic markers.

There’s plenty more inspiration as we countdown until release day tomorrow. Pop over to the Clearly Besotted blog, then onto Michelle, Lisa and our lovely guests, Francine and Alberto (@loshakeratoalberto on Instagram).

It’s release day so do come around again to see my last project,

xx

Clearly Besotted October Teasers Day 2

Hello! Hope you’re having a good day.

Today we’re looking at the Flaming Festivities set featuring the CUTEST dragons who are having their best life in the snow!!

I love the way that the snowman isn’t a man but a snowdragon-complete with leaf wings! I added the baubles (which look extraordinarily like fruit). I added extra leaves to give the impression that the wind is whipping the leaves and so giving the scene more life.

I’ve given the scene a background of glitter cardstock as my theme for this month is more CAS cards and using lots more white.

I think that little dragon who is decorating the tree all ready for Christmas is so perfectly cute! There’s lots of dragons in the set and a few that can be used all year round.

As usual, there will be so much inspiration over the next 5 days as we countdown. Pop over to the Clearly Besotted blog (and do check out CB’s Facebook fan page), then onto Michelle, Lisa and our lovely guests, Francine and Alberto (@loshakeratoalberto on Instagram).

I hope you’ll join me tomorrow for some more wintery fun!

Clearly Besotted October Teasers Day 1

Hello everyone! How are you doing? Hope you’re ready for a seasonal surprise. Clearly Besotted has brought out 8 sets this month and 3 of them are unique special mix and match sets. Today’s set is called Yuletide Yeti.

I decided that Mr Yeti (who actually is a real hard core gamer), decided to actually reenact one of his favourite games ‘Star Collect’.

His penguin pal ‘Plush’ threw up a load of stars onto the nearby trees and rigged up a aerial line so that Mr.Yeti could fly through the trees, gathering twinkles on the way. You can see that his giant candy cane came in very handy.

I nicked some baubles from the ‘Flaming Festivities’ set (I’m showcasing tomorrow) and used stars from this set. With a liberal coating of glue and translucent glitter it gives the scene a really frosty feeling.

It was easy to create; stamping the trees twice and then adding a freehand cut white layer to give depth to the scene. I just adore all those little stars and don’t the trees look magical with baubles and stars on them.

It’s a set that will be so much fun to play with – there are 5 differently posed yetis- and wouldn’t a yeti family in front of the trees make a perfect Christmas card?!

As usual, there will be so much inspiration over the next 5 days as we countdown. Pop over to the Clearly Besotted blog (and do check out CB’s Instagram as often videos of the colouring process are shown on there), then onto Lisa, Michelle and our lovely guests, Francine and Alberto (@loshakeratoalberto on Instagram).

See you tomorrow xx

Clearly Besotted September Release Day!

Hello everyone! We’ve made it to Release Day! Yay!

I’ve got a fun project today ahead of release time at 8pm GMT using the ‘Cleaning Up’ set.

I’m no fan of housework but let’s face it, it always has to be done. Piggy is swerving with the weight of the washing and that’s pretty much how I feel lumping copious bags of washing down the stairs, although now I do tend to ask the kids to bring their own down even if I have to wash it!

I love all the fun elements in the ‘Cleaning Up’ set and how quickly a scene comes together. I have to say that I enjoyed colouring in housework more than I actually do doing it!!

I am thankful for my white goods but currently have a loathing for a newer machine which is just awkward to press and navigate and I wonder who exactly designed it and were they having a bad day?! Whatever the case, I reckon they could have done with a card like this to keep them cheered up.

It’s time to go and see the rest of the team. First up is the Clearly Besotted Blog. Then onto Michelle, and our lovely guests Adelle, Francine, Keeway and Alberto (on Instagram).

Clearly Besotted June Release Day!

Hello everyone! It’s finally here. You’ve all been so patient waiting for today, and not much longer until you can order the sets you’ve been after. Today I’ve got some simple projects.

Annoyingly, the portrait mode has slightly blurred the top of the card, but you can see the rest hopefully. I’ve used the add on set ; ‘Flower Friends Additions’ which is to go with the Flower Friends stamp set but it is a perfectly good set by itself. I love when Clearly Besotted bring out floral sets as they do them so well.

I’ve simply coloured them with alcohol markers and trimmed out the flowers. I added some of the wood effect paper to the bottom so it looked a little like a planter box you might have outside a window. Adding it to a black cardstock background helps the flowers to pop.

I’ve added the gel pen dots to give the card a little movement and life. Granted, I did do a lot of fussy cutting, but you wouldn’t need to necessarily. I also made a super quick tag using the Flower Friends set.

I love those hippos holding flowers – they’re sooo cute. They’re very easy to colour.

Well that’s all I have for this month; I didn’t cover all the sets, but if you have a look on the Clearly Besotted Blog, you’ll see all the sets plus on Facebook on their page you can enter to win the whole release.

There’s still Michelle and Lisa to visit it today, so do go and say Hi. Do also go to see Alberto @loshakeratoalberto on Instagram, Francine VuillemeKeeway Tsao and Kitty Day so there are lots of lovely blogs and Instagram to see today too.

As usual, the release goes live at 8pm GMT (BST). All sets are available tonight on the Clearly Besotted store and also from Simon Says Stamp , Art CreatiuCloud 9 Crafts and Card Nouveau too.

Thankyou for supporting us, as we share each day. Your comments are really valued and they really make my day.

Thanks,

Clearly Besotted June Teasers Day 4

It’s Day 4 ! How are you? Today we’re looking at the ‘I Pick You’ set. I have used two of the bears who do indeed make the perfect pair.

I have no idea why I thought I’d do a pear shaped blank, but there we are. I simply sketched out a pear shape onto a tent folded piece of green cardstock. It didn’t go pear shaped, haha, and as pears aren’t completely symmetrical, you don’t need to worry about the shape either. I coloured and cut out the two characters and added lots of detail shading using Prismacolor pencils.

You can see the pencil marks still on there. I didn’t rub them off, but I guess you could. I trimmed out a stalk shape and added a side branch that was wedge shaped on the end so I had something to glue the leaf on. Adding details onto the leaf using alcohol markers. It’s surprisingly easy to make this shape as it’s so recognisable, so you don’t need to worry about being too precise.

You can see all the details. I added lots of speckling with dotting an alcohol marker to give shading and depth. I wonder what other fruits we could do to match this set. There’s certainly loads of inspiration in the I Pick You set.

It’s time to head over to the Clearly Besotted Blog, then onto Lisa and Michelle. There’s also Alberto @loshakeratoalberto on Instagram, Francine VuillemeKeeway Tsao and Kitty Day so please go and encourage them with a visit and a comment.

It’s Release Day tomorrow (yay!) and I have a little floral card.

See you tomorrow, Keren x

Clearly Besotted June Teasers Day 3

Hi! I’m so glad you’ve loving the sneak peeks so far. Today we have an Olympic sport, and certainly not one I’d ever attempt. I loved watching it. So did Effie, who had always wanted to join in the Elephant Community Sport team but just couldn’t afford all the equipment. She loved a challenge and her mind went to the Pole Vault. That was one she longed to try. But how would she get over? How to sail over that striped pole high in the sky.

She’d heard stories of the magical blue flowers and how if you wished hard enough, they could help make your dreams come true. That morning, her mind was made up, she’d go and try to discover these evasive blooms. After a long morning, she was leaving the wood and out of the corner of her eye she saw a bluish tinge. Lolloping over she saw one really large blue blousy bloom. Without thinking she grabbed it and raced over to the community athletics track. She had no training or idea, she just tried to recall what the Olympians did and ran as far away from the poles as she could manage.

Gathering speed, so ran as quickly as her legs were carry her. With a jump, she squeezed the flower, wished with all her might and to her amazement she sailed up, light as a feather and sailed gently over the top pole. With complete exhilaration she looked down, feeling like a bird and gradually descended as a cloud back to the squidgy blue mat. Her dreams had come true.

The card was really easy to make. Firstly I added some washi tape around the edges of a tall card and then used the In The Clouds Stencil from Clearly Besotted. I just used Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I cut two strip of red cardstock to make the side struts and then a thinner piece of red cardstock to add some white/green cardstock with angled ends.

Using one of the main images from the new Flower Friends set, it was easy to colour! Obviously the flower stalk was what gave Effie the extra oomph to get over the bar.

You can see how I’ve added a darker coloured alcohol ink pen to the mat and side poles. It just helps give a slight dimension to the scene.

I love creating unexpected scenes from the fabulous Clearly Besotted images. I wonder what scenes you might imagine these flower holding elephants being involved with?

This month, we have lots of inspiration. The best start is to go to the Clearly Besotted Blog, then onto Michelle and Lisa. We also have Alberto @loshakeratoalberto on Instagram, Francine VuillemeKeeway Tsao and Kitty Day so do visit them to see what they’ve been creating.

Hope to see you tomorrow with a some fruity fun.

Clearly Besotted December Teasers Day 1

Hello friends! How are you doing? I’m excited to bring you the latest sets about to launch from Clearly Besotted. It’s mostly winter and Christmas themed and they’re that speedy posting out that you’d have plenty of time to create with them before Christmas gets here.

Kicking off (or should I say sliding into) day one, we have Snowy Day Play. The hippos are making a welcome return, bedecked in piste outfits and ready for serious fun.

So….the scene involves 3 friends. There’s Shirley Show Off- you know the one; always good at absolutely everything and she couldn’t wait to fly through the air, much to the despair of Henry who has never got the knack of skiing and is at more at home plunged head first in the snow. Bertie is on the beginner slopes but is truthfully happier sat warm in a log cabin supping marshmallow and cream topped hot chocolate.

Don’t you wish you were tucked up cosy in a cabin right now?! This set has lots of elements that you make a myriad of scenes with. I added some spots to Henry’s hats and it’s fun adding colour to the skis too.

Now I just added some patterned paper that wasn’t supposed to be snowy, but I reckon it fits the bill. I extended the stamped line at both ends so it fitted the card and then just added the stamped and coloured hippos.

It’s a really easy set to create wonderful scenes with. I hope you enjoyed this first sneak peek.

There’s plenty more to see. Firstly, off to Clearly Besotted’s blog, then we’d love it if you visited my teamies – Michelle and Lisa and our lovely guest this month- Francine

See you tomorrow,

Clearly Besotted August Teasers Day 1 – Dive Right In

Hi everyone! How are you all?

It’ great to be diving into a new round of teasers (sorry!) with the new set Dive Right In. I love that this has the scene, the plushies and the extras; all in one set. Want to see?

The background was actually pretty quick. Quicker still was the fact I’d made it a while back using a gel plate and I was short on time so had a quick rifle through some pre-prepared backgrounds and this one was just perfect.

I did some pretty simple colouring- and love the green, coral and brown combo.

I have to admit, I’ve always fancied diving to explore a ship wreck- although they’re always deep down in very murky waters. If it was bright and well-lit like this scene, I’d be there in a shot! So the background was made using PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics which are my paint of choice and vastly superior to any other paint I’ve used. The rest is just simple Alcohol marker colouring in. Very therapeutic.

I’d love to know what these two fish were chatting about. Whatever it is, they both seem very happy under the sea.

There’s always lots to ‘sea’ over at the Clearly Besotted Blog, and we’ve got Michelle and Lisa’s blogs for more loveliness too. We’ve also got the fab Keeway Tsao joining us for this release too, so do pop to see her!

See you tomorrow!
