Clearly Besotted Release Day

Well you’ve all been so patient waiting for this release! I’ve not managed to make cards with all the sets, but if you check out the Clearly Besotted blog and see Mona & Francine on Instagram, you’ll see some wonderful cards with the August release too. I’m hoping to get a chance to create with some of the August release, so keep your eye out for some extra Clearly Besotted posts.

The lure of gelato was too great. I had to make another card with the Ice Ice Plushies. Again, I’ve added a little melty part (see how they’re all stood in the melted strawberry and coconut icecream) as it needed to go with the sentiment. As a public service announcement in the strawberry and coconut vein- steer clear of the Starbucks new refreshing drink in that flavour. It’s not worth the money. I digress 😉

I love the no-line colouring technique, and whilst it’s not completely no line, it does give a softer look, which seems appropriate for soft-scoop!

These three bonded over frozen desserts, and meet up each week to try the latest flavours. The unicorn is regretting her choice of beetroot, peach and pistachio but it sure looks pretty. I partially die-cut a circle to create a cut out semicircle which looks more impactful in real life.

Kimono chose strawberry, bubblegum and Nutella. She likes to save her icecream but has waited too long and the strawberry is everywhere. Teddy is a little annoyed that he has sticky paws, but is consoling himself that his ice lolly is so tasty and refreshing. I added the little waffle and sprinkles details and then afterwards realised that the sprinkles are actually images in the set! Duh!
