Altenew 8”x11” Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone, well this is a GIANT of a post… for a few reasons. I’m so chuffed to be part of a brand new release from Altenew celebrating the first time they’ve produced such a large stamp set- and what a beauty it is! If you’ve come from Joylita Dsouza’s blog – then a big hello! You may have come from the beginning (or want to start there) blog- which is Altenew’s own Blog. So, onto the set. I’ve created 3 projects from it- using only one of the flowers. These are big beauties and you’ll find you can fill a small card with only one of these florals!

So, I’ve gone a little alternative with the colours- but it’s got a real flamboyant feel so I thought I’d go with that vibe. The awesome thing about this set, is that it will encourage you to play and experiment with colours. So what’s this set about? Here’s how Altenew describes it.

This is our first-ever stamp set in our largest stamp size category. We hope it inspires you to create projects that are bigger, bolder, and drop-dead gorgeous!

The set features two beautiful layering flowers illustrated in a loosely painted style, plus a collection of leaves. The matching flowers and leaves from the Majestic Bloom 3D Embossing Folder perfectly coordinate in size and will allow you to take your gorgeous flower to the next level by giving it extra dimension! 

This is a 8″ x 11″ clear stamp set containing 41 stamps made in the USA from high-quality photopolymer.’

I’ve used a similar colour scheme with this tent folded card, but this time I’ve used a light blue, a purpley blue and changed the inner colour to a purpley-pink. Even by changing tiny details, it can still change the look. You can see I’ve used strips of matt gold cardstock again but this time just using different widths of strips and changing the gaps between the strips, it gives a dynamic look without overwhelming the star of the show; the flowers! This flower has 6 separate layers- but you don’t have to use them all- you can get a less dimensional feel easily.

My last project for the hop is a tag.

I’ve gone more towards green hues and I’ve also stamped one of the layers of the flowers onto the tag base to add some dimension. I hope you can see the massive possibilities from this set- and I’ve not even got to the largest flower yet! Using different coloured centres will actually help you trick the eye to seeing that one flower is further away than the other.
