Winnie & Walter ‘My Precious’ Rerun.

Hey! How are you?

I’ve some exciting news. April officially sees the start of me doing a little bit more over at ‘Winnie and Walter’for a few months. I’ll be posting over on their blog as their ‘Talent in Residence’ which sounds grander than it is; it’s just me creating some more projects with their fantastic products. I was really delighted to have been asked to do this and follow on from my friend Kate Capper who will be hard to follow!

Rerun- is all about taking one of their previous sets and giving it a bit more love. This set, in fact

I created some projects with this set. Truth be told, I didn’t love the last 3 but I’ll show you all of them, including my Fave, which is first up!

I’ve used the Cutaway ‘Hi’to make a large shaker and then cut out and coloured jewels. I found if you left some of the Jewel facets white, they looked more realistic!

I backed the panel with acetate and added foam pad strips to keep it all in. I sealed the whole thing with cardstock and added to my patterned paper covered base ( that’s paper from a Project Life paper pack).

Ok- here’s the ‘mojo-less’ duffers!!

This one started out with making a shaped card and adding a pattern by stamping different directions and doing it in a lighter ink so it remained more in the background.

This one was about the jewels. I’ve used one of the frames to create the aperture and one of the dies to make the holes where I’ve just added coloured dashes to give the impression of stitching!

Last up is this simple treatment. The heart is popped up using foam pads and a little glitter added to make it sparkle!

Hope you enjoyed these ideas from one set. Keep an eye for when I’ll turn up on the blog next!

Have a lovely day

xx

Congratulations on the talent in residence. Thank you so much for the inspiration on ‘All’ the cards, they all look fabulous and very creative to me. The first one is extra special and the attention to detail with the cut out gems inside the shaker is genius!

My dear, you’ll never take a backseat to anyone…not it you continue making these fantastick cards. I am so in awe of your talent and what you do with simple supplies…I sit and stare…no blinking just staring. Always quesioning, “how does she come up with this stuff”.
And so, it’s a no-brainer to me that you should be Talent In Residence. Who else would they pick…you’re a natural. That being said, congratulations. You were the obvious choice.

Keren, always love seeing your creative takes on things! Such a fantastic point about leaving some of the facets white … that’s really what they look like when they catch the light! And great idea to use them in a shaker. Also love your shaped diamond card with the smaller diamond stamp as a “border” along the top. Looking forward to the rest of your residency : )
