Frustrated Crafting!

Ok, I do not have enough hours in the day. Crafting has become my therapy. I will never win SuperMum award but I do like having my kids around. Unless of course they misbehave in tandem. Yesterday was one of those ‘we are all going to take it in turns to be seriously naughty and sometimes we’ll all do it at exactly the same time’! This, to be fair is a rarity but walking to Tesco in the rain (because the Landrover was broken (again!) just pushed everyone over the edge. I am still recovering today. Thankfully I didn’t lose it-( until the handwash spilt all over the pram ) and my frustration was eased with some calm, quiet and well behaved crafting!
I was having a think… don’t know if you’re like me but I like to bake! Having the surname ‘Baker’ suddenly seems appropriate and gets me over the fact that I really really liked my maiden name and miss its uniqueness.
Anyway, I bake and I like to give stuff particularly if someone is unwell or has had a baby etc etc. I try to deliver in packages that can be disposed of (or recycled) but to save the recipient from having to wash up when they’re probably in no state to do that or to remember to pass the container back to me. We were wandering round Aldi the other day and my youngest William picked up a set of cheap plastic containers (a la takeaway type) and promptly threw them in the trolley (hang on in here, my point is coming very soon!) . Normally ‘extra’s’ in the trolley are immediately evacuated but I thought they would come in handy and so they have! Back to the thinking.. because I bake and send a container I often need to scribble a note or send a card and suddenly I realised that I could combine the two and make the container look more exciting. So here it is- a decorated sleeve to put around the boxes. I am gonna make oodles of these; baby ones, get well soon, congratulations etc. Just imagine the possibilities.
Oh, and please use your imagination. That plastic box is not empty it’s filled with quite simply the most extraordinary brownies (that I have yet to procure the recipe for!- recipes anyone?). Look and drool (but not over the keyboard please!)
See you soon, happy creating!xx
