Add a Little Dazzle and CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog Hop-Day #3. We are back with another exciting week for you. This week we are collaborating with Casual Fridays Stamps. This company has an amazing line of stamps and dies and we are excited to have teamed up with them. Join us this week as we share some awesome projects combining their amazing product line with Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets. It’s going to be fun, inspirational, and we have prizes for you!

CASUAL-FRIDAYS-LOGO

I’ve used CAS-ual Friday’s stamps before on the blog & their owner Michele is just plain lovely (well, she’s anything but plain, but you get my drift?!) Their stamps are a mix of funny, bold and modern. Their sentiments are always well thought through & their dies are fab too! Do go and check them out here.

My project is tying in with this week’s challenge photo1236975_10202654062219515_8399332294340067290_n
I’ve created a little acetate box & used the Houndstooth set, Wonderful Words set & the Funky Square Tags dies

I’ve combined this with Princess Pink, Pucker Me Pink & Wondrous White craft metal. I’ve used the Houndstooth set to stamp with Archival Ink onto the pink metal, then burnished the non-stamped parts from the back. To be able to do that, I used a fine paper stump and traced from the front so I have a line to burnish from the back. I made the acetate box to fit the two candles & then added some scrunched seam binding.

For the tag- I wanted the tag shape but the tag was wider than I needed, so I lined my piece of card up, & laid the tag die over it so I got the top shape from the die but without the width! Simple!

Woah, Keren, I took a quick peek this morning, but I didn’t realize until coming back just now that you used the metal as a wrapper around the tea lights! Awesome idea! And you burnished from the back side?! Such a good use of the metal to turn the stamp into a embossing folder of sorts. Wish I thought of that : )
