Winnie & Walter October Release Day 2

Hi! Hope you enjoyed yesterday; a floral abundance indeed !! I loved seeing how everyone had used the new release products.
Today’s release fun from Winnie & Walter is showcasing more stamp sets, more dies and some Creative Screenings (although I’ve not used those today). I’m starting off with one of my 3D cards (that someone nicknamed ‘chandelier cards’!) using both the leftover negative parts from the wonderful ‘Cover Model: The Leaf Effect Cutaway’ plus the great ‘Comfort & Joy’ stamp set.
Yes, it’s one that you wouldn’t mass produce 😉 but is fun to create. Just lay out the shapes, add some lo-tac adhesive sheet and add the threads over the top. Then you can simply glue on the same shaped die-cut pieces over the top and attach them to the acetate. The wording in the Comfort and Joy set came in really handy for adding to each petal shape & they’re stamped on the reverse differently so when the breeze catches them, the words change!
Next up… the Comfort and Joy set again- just using a few more of the sets and I’ve used the Mini Scenery: Multigrain repeatedly stamped to create the background.
Last, but by no means least, is using the ‘Cover Model: The Leaf Effect Cutaway’ die. I’ve still not used it quite how it was designed, but there’s lots more time to play. I simply ran it through my die cutting machine with a brown rubber embossing mat which embosses the design rather than cuts it.
Depending on how ‘tight’ the sandwich is, this will give a more sharp emboss. I love the almost cut effect and how pristine it looks. The green star is the ‘True Multifaceted Star Cutaway’
Aren’t the sets amazing!
We are showing release set samples until the Release day on the 30th October when all sets/dies/stencils will be available from Saturday evening so get saving your pennies/cents (or pounds/ dollars, or quite possibly sell off anything to make funds available!!).
Don’t forget to go and visit the Winnie & Walter blog to see everyone showcasing some of the same and different sets today and then come back tomorrow for another helping !
xx

I do love the creativeness of your chandelier card with the Christmas star on top and the words on each side, BUT I also enjoy your jingle card with the bells. It give off such a warm feeling of someone shutting the door with lots of jingling going on. Wonderful, Keren!

Your first two cards really caught my attention on the W&W blog. Especially love your leaf card. Such a creative use of the die cuts.

Due to some computer glitches, only got this post today or I would have flown through the screen to pat you on the back in reality. Cannot tell you enough how complete fabulous these cards are. My mind is totally blown by the first “chandelier” card then you add more amazement with the second and third. (By the way, totally smitten with that gorgeous green on all that embossed pristine white.) The recipients of your cards must fall down each time they open an envelope from you. Hope they aren’t permanently damaged.
