Clearly Besotted May Release Day!

It’s release day! Yay! Hope you’ve got used to the new system now. As usual, you’ll want to check out my other teamies blogs and the Clearly Besotted Blog. Don’t forget about entering into the Facebook giveaway to win the whole release- that will be a fabulous prize for someone!

Today I’m going sewing, which actually is one of my favourite things to do. I love this ‘Crafty Characters’ set so much and knew I wanted to make a craft room scene out of it. Here’s where you need to forgive me…can any of you spot the problem?

The background visible out of the window is in fact from ‘All Four Seasons’ set which many of you probably have, but isn’t available anymore, BUT the good news is that you could replicate the idea easily using any of these sets,

I think the circular ones would make great windows for this scene. All you need to do is add a little pencil line for the frame if you wished (a die cut frame would be perfect for a circle) and then add a little light grey alcohol pen for a shadow to add depth.

You can see that sewing machine- well that colour in a Singer Featherweight is on my wish list- they’re old, small, transportable and cool. They don’t come in that colour- you just need someone who is very good at paint jobs! Come to think of it, it would be nice in red too! The cat is grappling with one of the enormous spools for her overlocker (they’re not really quite that big!) and she’s got some cute button mats to decorate her room. Granted her sewing mannequin looks like it’s floating, but let’s not talk about that error either đŸ˜‰

I decided to decorate the top of the cabinet as if it had been topped with some spotty fabric; that’s doubling as her ironing board and of course her storage boxes have the same fabric on…we all like pretty coordinated sewing spaces. Creative Cat can only show you the window view of her sewing room as the opposite wall is ceiling high with plastic boxes- all filled with her hoarded Tula Pink fabric collection!

I do hope you’ve enjoyed this look at the May releases. Which sets are you eyeing up and which are your favourites?

There’s still time to hop over to the Clearly Besotted Blog, Michelle for her usual round up video plus blog posts from Lisa and Francine and Adelle.

As usual, the release goes live at 8pm GMT (BST). All sets are available tonight on the Clearly Besotted store and also from Simon Says Stamp , Art Creatiu, Cloud 9 Crafts and Card Nouveau too.

I hope to see you soon,

Keren x

I love the scene out of the window!! And I also love that retired set you used! What a lovely place to sit and sew with that view. And I should remind you that there are no errors in crafting, just artistic licence. Loved all your teasers Kere, as always you rocked the release! Xx

I can see why you’d like to have that particular sewing machine in that particular color…it’s gorgeous and vintage. Anyway, I think you and the critter could spend hours in this room creating beautiful things. Sucn a darling card.
