Altenew Summer Adventure Stand-alone Dies Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

June 17, 2021 at 2:00 pm 44 comments

Hey! Welcome. It really is starting to feel like summer and what better time to be having a Summer Adventure with Altenew?! Altenew are having a wonderful blog hop celebrating some new Stand Alone Dies. You may well have arrived here from Anna Mahtani, so if so, a big welcome. You might want to start at the beginning- so do go to the Altenew Blog for that.

Altenew have created an amazing selection of dies for this release and I’ve two projects to show you some of them.

I’ve used two dies; Peeking Leaves Cover Die and All About You Word Die Set (links are affiliate ones, thanks!). It’s fun adding colour, but as you can see- you don’t need to completely fill the leaves; a hint of colour adds vibrancy without it becoming a bit full on.

The All About You Word dies are perfect for all occasions but revolve around the word ‘you’. If you want to make this paper piecing easier- add some double sided adhesive tape to the reverse of the cardstock or use adhesive backed cardstock.

If you want to see the whole new Die collection- check out this link.

Here are THREE ways to get a FREEBIE to kickstart your creativity! Free gift will be added to cart automatically.

  • Get a FREE brand new Summer Adventure Release Inspiration Guide (worth $5.99) with every order of high-value Summer Adventure release bundles. Shop HERE! *Exclusions apply.
  • Get a FREE brand new Summer Adventure Release Mini Inspiration Guide with every order from 06/17/2021 through 06/19/2021. Shop HERE!

My second project is using the gorgeous new Moroccan Lattice Cover die.

It’s really easy to create this card using the Altenew 24 pan Watercolour Set. Simply slosh on some colour all around your piece of watercolour card that you’ve taped around the edges. Altenew’s watercolours are beautifully creamy and so wonderfully pigmented. Leave to dry, remove the tape and then die cut the Moroccan Lattice Cover Die set from watercolour card so it all matches. Add the lattice cover layer to a couple of other die cut layers- which gives easy dimension without fiddling around with tiny foam pads and add a sentiment using the All About You Word Die Set.

Giveaway Prizes

$300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $25 gift certificate to 8 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 06/23/2021 for a chance to win.

Altenew will draw 10 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 06/25/2021.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little look at some of the new dies.

Now it’s time to visit the awesome Laura Bassen. If you get lost, do check the list below for the whole list of blogs.

I love how a background die can make a card so simple to put together, yet have a beautiful impact like the morrocan die card. Putting the tips of the leaves in on the first card makes them almost look like feathers, very pretty! Thanks for the inspiration!

Both of your cards are so colorful. I like how you “colored” the Peeking Leaves Cover Die. It reminds me of feathers. Thanks for sharing!

Love the way your showing off colours! Definitely very beautiful results just by colouring parts of the leaves. Also you’ve inspired me to attempt a pretty water coloured background with my palette!

Wonderful card using the Peeking Leaves cover die! I could see doing a batch of cards with the same design but using different color combinations for the inlaid pieces. That would be such a fun project!
