Altenew Build-A-Flower: Coneflower Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome blog friends to another Altenew Release Blog Hop! Today sees the launch of the Build-A-Flower Coneflower set. You may have come here via Verity Biddlecombe’s blog, so a special welcome to you if that’s the case! Coneflowers are just so striking and almost architectural in their design. Such gorgeous flowers that Altenew have fashioned into a special edition stamp and die set.
Isn’t it a beautiful set! Extend a hand in gratitude and friendship with this delightful floral layering set.
This stamp set features two beautiful layering coneflowers. For ease of use, Altenew have included two colouring layers for each part of the flower: the flower center, petals and leaves, and stem. The larger flower has three colour layers for the petals.
The Build-A-Flower: Coneflower special edition stamp and die set is only sold as a bundle. It includes one 6″ x 8″ clear photopolymer stamp set (24 individual stamp images) and one coordinating die set (2 dies).
Truth be told it was a nightmare to photograph because of the angles I’d created on the card! It wasn’t hard to create though, simply a piece of cardstock 15cm x 21cm and scored at 5cm and 10cm. Then you position the accompanying dies, partially die cut- so the part of the die on the outer edges is cut but not the inside panel. Then stamp and colour (or simply use the different layered images to create the coloured petals.
I added some blue watercolour around the edges of the flowers to help tie the flowers together as a trio- just messily, no artistic ability required 😉
The new Coneflower stamps and die set will be available here in the Altenew store. If you fancy an die/stamp and ink bundle- it’s available here with a 5% reduction (and who doesn’t love a reduction!!)
The blog hop will be hosted by fab Virginia Lu at the Altenew Card Blog so you might want to start the hop there.
You can see the dimension from the partial die cutting below. Adding little white and black gel pen dots (which I often do) is such an easy way to elevate your designs and provide a little more interest to your images. Plus the sentiments included in the Stamp set are just utterly lovely.
Of course, you want to know about the giveaway right?!
There is $200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 04/07/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 04/09/2021.
Now all that’s left for me to do is usher you to the next stop on the hop; the super lovely Norine Borys– you’re always in for a treat on her blog!
I’ve really appreciated you stopping by today, I hope you’ll love the rest of the inspirational projects still left to see.
See you again soon,
Keren x

Ok, That is cool. I have never seen that shape for a card before and it can be displayed like a bouquet. It is even more impressive that you used partial die cutting. I pinned this. ❤

You just have to find a larger envelope or make one yourself. I like wrapping the cards sometimes if I’m giving it directly to the recipient ! x
