Stampendous banner7Add a Little Dazzle and Stampendous Blog Hop Day #3.  Today (& all week) we are teaming up with Stampendous. This company has an amazing line of stamps and dies that are so much fun to play with.  Join us this week with our Home for the Holidays Series as we showcase projects using products from their new holiday catalogue accompanied with Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheets.  Both teams have created some amazing projects and we can’t wait to share them with you. We even have lots of prizes to give away.

We’re obviously doing ‘Christmas’ this week and we’d love you to join in. You don’t have to use metal sheeting (but it’s all whole ton of fun!). Add your entry to the linky here

My project has used this fun set: Snowman Banners

SSC1185_Snowman_Banners_PKG_800

You can see that I’ve used the snowman against a backdrop of lovely embossed craft metal. The snowman is stamped onto vellum, cut out & attached to some white card so the background doesn’t show through. I embossed the Baby Blue craft metal sheet background using a Stampin’Up! embossing folder, gently rubbed Versamark over it and then sprinkled white embossing powder over it. I needed to use a brush to get rid of stray bits of powder and then heated to set. By colouring  with markers on the reverse of the vellum, you end up with a soft look- just perfectly in keeping with the snowy theme.sta2

Very interesting how you built and colored the snowman with vellum and white cardstock. Will have to try that one. And the embossed raised areas on the background turned out really lovely.
