Clearly Besotted June Release Day

After all of this strenuous crafting over the past few days, it’s time to take it easy…or not! You might be one for working outside or are a real gym bunny. Either way, this new set called Gym Plushies is sure to be popular for the funny sentiments.

I’ve used the Cloudy Day Stencil again- where would we be without it!! Just using some gentle blending with a light blue ink. I took the clouds down past the stamped images- I’d stamped the scene twice. Normally I’d colour in all the image- but I wanted to be selective in order to do a quicker make.

Using Copic Markers to colour the trees in, you can nearly hide the sponged stencilled clouds, which avoids having to mask the image. I simply coloured the bottom part so there was some colour to add the characters on to.

Chick has really had enough exercising. He found that simply adding the towel behind his neck was exhausting, so called his exercise session done and headed off towards the icecream van for a slushie!

There’s more to see from Clearly Besotted‘s blog (and on Instagram too) and Michelle Short who has her her video and then pop over to see our wonderful guest designers Francine Vuilleme, and Alberto Gava.

As usual, the release goes live at 8pm GMT. All sets are available tonight on the Clearly Besotted store and also from Simon Says Stamp , Art CreatiuCloud 9 Crafts and Card Nouveau too.

Don’t forget to enter into the giant giveaway over on Clearly Besotted’s Facebook page. It’s a fabulous opportunity to win the whole release!

Thankyou for being with me again this month.

See you soon xx

Gorjuss Teacup Adventure!

Despise not liking the Gorjuss range a few years ago, I do rather like them now. I know I love bright colours- but I went all soft and subtle here..

If you look closely you’ll see that the teacup ( that’s she’s floating on the ocean in!) is actually a mini shaker. By using some acetate sewn on the base, I could add some glitter and sequins.

It’s coloured with Artiste markers and this is the set produced for Santoro by docrafts-

I bought my set ( alright, SETS!) from The Range. At the moment they’re 3 sets for £10 which, when each set is £5.95, us pretty great value.

They’ve also got £2 off dog food..but I’m digressing. 😉.

I am trying to get organised- gleefully still throwing away things..lots of unwanted crafty gear going too. Do pop round if you’re local and grab some- all I’d ask for is a donation for a charity.

Just have to make sure none of the kids favourite plastic toys or kids themselves end up with the garbage too 😋.

See you soon!

xx

Love You More & Wrestling!

Hey! Hope your week is going well. Here’s a ‘one I’d forgotten to post’ . Love the feathers- makes me think of a flamingo and standing on one leg and falling over… My mind goes funny places sometimes. Enjoyed stamping on craft foam- I’m increasingly using funky foam for all sorts-

Thank you Card & Blog Candy!

20130102-130938.jpg
Happy New Year everyone!
It’s back to normal – or is it? We’ve just enjoyed a fab few days away with some friends and this card is a thankyou to them.
Strips left over, a pre stamped piece I’d not used and the whole card took about 3 minutes- I kid you not!

I am thankful to you all for popping over and reading- lots of you never comment- and that’s fine, I don’t mind. But I thought I’d offer some blog candy- not because I’m trying to draw out you into commenting but only because I have a significant Birthday on Friday (& no, I’m NOT 50!) & rather than feel a little depressed about the whole event, I’ve decided to do The Birthday Project ( please google it!). I’ll let you know all about it once I’ve completed it but this blog candy is one of my random acts of kindness and I’m not even telling you what it will contain! It’s not enormous but it will come with a whole lot of love! Anywhere in the world is fine. Just comment and tell me what thing you’ve done for someone else that has given you the most pleasure.

It’s a short n sweet post- my littlies are self destructing over a charger. Too many late nights and not enough sleep. A heady combo that I’m not enjoying tremendously. It will all settle shortly.
I’m off to plan for my birthday.

You have until the end of Friday to comment & then I’ll randomly pick a winner.

See you when I’ve come out of hiding! xx

Bottle-top card & WOYWW!

20121003-141523.jpg
Posting a card I didn’t get around to showing you from a while back using the Happy Days collection of bottlecaps, stamps and papers from DoCrafts. Pretty easy, just combining the papers and colours; it’s all done for you.
The reason I’m not posting new stuff is I’m in a flurry of activity for mag work, the demonstrating on Saturday at Abakhan in Liverpool and other one off projects. Thought I’d join in with WOYWW– here’s the state of mine!

What’s on my work desk is quite a challenge- getting traditional products to work on a contemporary card. I’ll show the cards after the weekend- but most are prepped and that’s not really very interesting!
The stamps are being coy upside down- they’re Christmas ones and were a little worried about scaring some of you with the prospect of making enough cards to see you through the season.
Me? I’m so far ahead it’s stupid!
Not.
Ermmm. Have done 5 now. That’s really going to go a long way isn’t it!! I’m thinking of visiting my lovely friend Ros Crawford under the pretense of coffee and whilst she’s not watching go and ‘borrow’ all her loveliest cards that she’s faithfully made all year long. Then I’d be ready! I won’t, that’d be mean, but its a bit tempting!!
( oh, I really do want to come for a coffee Ros!!).

Better go, have kids to pick up. The car died yesterday and is spluttering back to health but only just. Now I just need to learn how to fix a battery!!). x
