Playful Pups & The Other One

Two cards today….all using the Mama Elephant set ‘Playful Pups’

  Such a cute set.

I’m over showing them in more detail over at Make The Day Special Stamp Store’s blog

Love how you can colour them in exactly like your own pooch and as there are no markings, you can really adapt them to fit. I used some vellum to act as the doggy tunnel. Using the dog and ball, I popped them onto the card using foam pads and then added glue onto the front of each which more or less disguised the glue points where I attached the vellum. Vellum is so tricky to attach sometimes!

Here’s a teeny card I created..only 8.5cm square. Using another of the dogs!

Again- more colouring. Used some water-based markers to create the faux sky. Simple, but hopefully effective!

Our own pooch is still ‘settling in’. That’s the most positive way I can describe it.

I keep concentrating on the positives.

He’s not destroyed anything…yet.

He does sleep at night.

He’s breathing well.

He has fur.

He has a cute face.

Do read between the lines. Seriously- this dog is hard work.

If you saw the love emanating out of children to this scruffy little thing, it would warm your heart.

Mine’s getting warmer. Not quite toasty yet 😉

Rainbow Arc Reactor & Time Drain!

Hey! Hope you’re all ok.
Today I’ve used some Reverse Confetti products to create this rainbow styled card.
The sentiment is all about counting rainbows and my first temptation was to go the obvious route of a literal rainbow. Then I looked at my Reverse Confetti dies and thought they’d make a fun accent to the sentiment stamp.

I did actually have the image of Iron Man’s arc reactor in my head when I was creating this- so you can probably see where the design of the centrepiece came from!
I used these dies

I simply cut the large circle and then cut the smaller circle centrally out of the large coloured shapes. Simply cut out small pieces and add onto a white shape.
I stamped the ‘count’ onto the white ring through to the base cardstock. I wasn’t sure it would stamp completely but it did!
By adding it to two layers, you can then raise the outer ring to give dimension
Add a little white gel pen stitching and you’re done. Simple CAS but with a rainbow vibe!

I know I’ve been a little quiet.
This is why

He’s a scruffy rascal and we’ve adopted him from a local dog shelter.

Boy, has he been hard work. He’s improving every day and last night he didn’t bark for over an hour.

It’s worse than a newborn 😉!

On the plus side- he’s cheeky and funny and all the kids are absolutely delighted with him.

I’m full on trying to train him.

Except I don’t know enough really. We’ve no complete picture of where he came from but what is for certain is that he obviously ruled the roost where he was before!

So far, no damage…apart from him trying to eat a Stickles glitter glue.

The boy has taste 😉.

See you when I’ve been out for a walk. …Another one !!
