Clearly Besotted July Teasers Day 4
Hi again, so glad you’ve come back. If I say Yo,ho ho and a bottle of rum, you’ll probably guess that we’ve got some pirates on board today.

This set is called ‘Pirate Pals’ and contains so many mischievous monkeys ready for fun. The problem is that the island is actually too small for all of them. Some of them have remained on their boat, but three fearless friends decided to search for the treasure.

Swashbuckling glittery swords and a glitter encrusted treasure chest lift the scene. Poor monkey is falling off the side, but it’s ok, he can swim, so he’ll soon dry off in the scorching heat.

A little more glitter on the flag and his hat-kerchief. He’s on top of the palm tree- partly to free up more space for the other monkeys and also because it’s an amazing lookout to catch other monkeying marauders!
What would you create with this set? You could easily cut off the sand, and draw some more grass to make it a landed piratey party.
I can’t wait to visit Clearly Besotted‘s blog (and on Instagram too) and then see lovely Piratey Michelle Short and then pop over to see our amazing guest designers Francine Vuilleme, and Alberto Gava.
Back tomorrow to celebrate our Release day! x

Clearly Besotted July Release Day – All Four Seasons Hippos
Hello lovely Clearly Besotted fans and my blog friends. It’s finally Clearly Besotted’s July release day tonight at 8pm BST.
Today I’m showing the All Four Seasons Hippos set plus the Scene It Around Set 1. At this point, some of you might want to sing ‘Oh I do like to be beside the seaside’ and others of you will wonder what on earth I’m on about (see here for a slightly more classy version).
My pair are having a wonderful day out (socially distancing, of course!) somewhere near the white cliffs of Dover.

It’s easy to colour the scene, I’ve used Copics and lots of dots to create texture on the sand. The sea was easy too; just lots of wavy lines that will blend into each other.

The little hippo is enjoying his mint choc chip ice-cream. I rather would like to join them for a picnic on a balmy day.
Before the release, tonight, there’s more peeks at the sets over on the Clearly Besotted Blog and Michelle has her monthly roundup of the sets.
As usual, the Release goes live at 8pm GMT. All sets are available from 8pm GMT tonight on the Clearly Besotted store and also from Simon Says Stamp.
There is the giveaway on the Facebook page and also I need to tell you that if you order the whole release, there are some free gifts that come with it;
Scene It Around Additions Mini Stamp set, A Little Bumpy Stencil and 6 sheets of 6×6′ patterned paper.
We always enjoy hearing which sets are your must-haves. Which have tickled your fancy?

Clearly Besotted July Teasers – Summer Corners
Hi again! Welcome to my blog for any of you who are new. We’re focussing on the latest Clearly Besotted release which is out tomorrow and I’m sharing projects using each of the sets. Today’s focus is on Summer Corners which is almost guaranteed to have you slapping on suncream and grabbing your summer hat in anticipation. It seems that we’ve had lots of summery days and hopefully not our last!

Summer Corners has 2 alternate ‘corners’ plus a single flamingo with a flower and leaf so there are lots of options. After making my card, I just couldn’t decide upon a sentiment, so I’ve left it blank ready for a ‘birthday’ or ‘hi’ card. I’ve used simple colouring with my Copics. For the leaves I’ve used the blender pen to dot onto the leaves. You have to go over the dots a few times, but the blender pushes away the colour and you’re left a bleached sort of look which adds some lovely texture to the leaves.

I’ve added my usual white gel pen work onto the other leaves, flowers and fabulous flamingo and then placed the panel in front of some more Lawn Fawn ‘Really Rainbow’ paper.

The whole vibe is really tropical and lovely- just what summer’s should be about. It might be more like ‘BBQ in your back garden’ this summer but hey, we can dream!
Next up, we have the Clearly Besotted blog to visit, then onto Lisa and Michelle for some gorgeousness.
See you tomorrow for Release Day!
Clearly Besotted July Teasers – Treehouse Treasures
Hello again, how are you doing? Thanks for joining me today for Day 3 of the Clearly Besotted Teasers. I’m using the Treehouse Treasures set and when I first saw it, it reminded me of one of my favourite childhood books; The Faraway tree. I had visions of extended the tree several times, and adding a saucepan to one of the character’s heads etc etc, but time ran away with me, so I’ve a more simple affair instead.

I adore the treehouse; I always wishes I’d had one as a child. I’d have taken a stash of books into it and read the hours away! There are plenty of characters to place in the tree or swing or on the ground. I reckon a bunch of them sat on a piece of patterned paper ‘picnic mat’ would look fabulous too.

Adding some more patterned paper (it’s all from Lawn Fawn – ‘Really Rainbow’) to the edges just finishes it off well.

The little guy with his heart echoes the sentiment perfectly. I kind of wish my house was up a tree, but I’m content with the one I have too! I’ve coloured them with Copic Markers and some detailing with Prismacolors.
There’s plenty more inspiration using the July Release, if you pop across to Clearly Besotted’s blog then onto Michelle and finally visit Lisa.
I do hope you’re all enjoying the release sneak peeks so far, and I’ll be back tomorrow with a thoroughly summer affair!

Clearly Besotted July Teasers – Scene It Around
Hello again! I know it’s only nearly Christmas, I mean July! But you’ve heard of Christmas in July right? Plus it’s never too early to get a shift on with your Christmas cards. This Scene It Around II set also has a beautiful windmill scene that isn’t Christmassy, so it’s a greatly versatile set. It goes with the Scene It Around set that has a forest scene and a beach scene, so all seasons are covered. I’ve gone for a gently seasonal scene.

I used some navy pearlescent card which is softer than black and ties in well with the blue of the sky. Using some Copic Markers, I created the night sky, adding circular strokes to give an illusion of the moonlight cascading out. You can see below the sentiment which I’ve stamped on Duralar Matt which when heat embossed doesn’t warp like vellum. You can also see the sparkle of glitter on the trees ad ground. This scene would look wonderful bedecked in snow too.

I decided to add some stars and attached them to some embroidery thread. It’s easy to do. If you find some of them falling off, simply add a star behind the thread (so 2 stars sandwiching the thread between them) and that will keep them from detaching as easily. I’ve added gel pen stars to give more of a night sky and complete the scene.

I love that all of these scenes are round. I fitted mine perfectly behind a circle aperture, but they’ll look equally as good trimmed and mounted on a card front, or just stamped directly for a one layer card.
So as usual, I’ll be recommending you visit the Clearly Besotted Blog, then go and see lovely Lisa and Michelle.
I’ll be back tomorrow with another superbly cute set.

Clearly Besotted July Teasers – Thanks A Melon
Hello lovely friends! How are you all doing? We’re starting a new round of teasers for the July release. There are 6 stamp sets plus free gifts if you order the whole release (more on that later in the teasers).
It’s certainly starting to feel like summertime isn’t it? I thought I’d begin with this fun set ‘Thanks A Melon’. Aren’t these guys cute!

The set has the fabulous water swirl stamp, which would also make a great water slide for lots of Clearly Besotted creatures.

The little guy is careering down the water in a watermelon. It could easily be coloured into all sorts of melon varieties or even a coconut shell as it’s the right shape and markings.

Little Henry is busy munching away on his watermelon. I have to say that watermelons always seem to look better than they taste ( or is there a secret I need to know about!).
Everything has been coloured with alcohol markers and then little details added with gel pen. I’m trying to use up more patterned paper so I’ve used bits here and there for this month’s release.
I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone’s projects this week. Please pop over to the Clearly Besotted blog then over to Michelle and Lisa’s blogs
Clearly Besotted Release Day!
Today is the day; the day when you can get your hands on these sets!
Which sets do you have your eye on? I’m showing you a really pretty and very summery set called ‘Sweet Berries’. It has an accompanying die set available with it too.
Before you think I’ve just laid out a random collection of cardstock- they all are attached to an acetate base! I do like colouring, but sometimes there isn’t time, and you need a speedy solution! Well, this is it! Some multi coloured inking that overlaps to make a patterned cardstock. I plumped for the raspberries as they’re one of my favourite fruits.
Whilst I fear that our British summer has actually come and gone (haha), I can at least forward to raspberries, strawberries, Eton Mess, Pavlova, meringues, strawberries and cream and the rest!!
Today you can get the sets from the Clearly Besotted store and Simon Says Stamp from 8pm BST.
What a great release don’t you think? I’ve loved all these sets and wonder which ones will sell out first?
See you soon!

Clearly Besotted July Release Day 4 Teasers
Thankyou for popping by to my blog again. If you’re only visiting for the first time today, I’m showcasing some sneak peeks of the Clearly Besotted July Release. Today’s stamp set is Wild Times- and these monkeys are definitely having just that!
If you remember me mentioning a few days that I’d be using the Cute Koala tiny leaves again; here it is! I drew some feint pencil lines mimicking low hanging forest vegetation and then stamped the leaves randomly along those lines. Once that was done, I simply drew in any visible pencil lines with a Rystar Technic fineliner (0.1).
I stamped the monkeys in slightly different colours so it didn’t look all the same and then mounted them on foam pads and to make them look like their tails were actually hanging from the branches, I added another leaf over the top.
Adding some Woodland Green Nuvo drops added a little texture and I left a large portion blank intentionally. You could add your sentiment anywhere, but I’m leaving it blank so I’m all ready whenever I need a card for any occasion!
This set has matching dies, which are always useful! I fussy cut mine, but then you knew I love doing that already!
The inspiration isn’t over yet; do visit the Clearly Besotted Blog plus the lovely Lisa and Michelle too!
See you tomorrow for Release Day and a last peek!

Clearly Besotted July Teasers Day 3
Hello ! Great to see you again with the 3rd day of teasers for July’s release from Clearly Besotted stamps. Clearly Besotted are well loved for their floral stamps and this one is no exception. It”s called Hydrangea Harmony and is a 2-step image that looks great in a variety of colours.
As I was creating this card, I happened to go to a park where there were so many gorgeous hydrangeas- EDITED…these aren’t hydrangeas…but they’re still very gorgeous 😉!
To create this card I simple attached a semicircle of acetate onto the top of the tall tent folded card. This gives an easy structure to attach your blooms but has a little stability too.
There are individual flowers too to add depth to your design. It’s a really tranquil and beautiful set.
I finished off the card with some Nuvo drops to add movement to the design and the sentiment is from last month’s release; Brushed Sentiments
I’ll see you tomorrow with some cute critters. Do visit the Clearly Besotted blog along with Michelle and Lisa’s blog!
Take care,

Clearly Besotted July Release Teasers Day 2
Hello again! Welcome to Day 2 of the Clearly Besotted Teasers. I know you’ve loved the sneaks so far.
Today I’ve got one of the mini sets called ‘Let’s Flamingo’. It’s a 2 step image set and I absolutely loved creating with this one. There are so many occasions you could use it for and it makes me feel all summery too!
I stamped out the images in ink and then added detailing using Nuvo Alcohol markers and Prismacolors to simulate the feathers. Adding little dots lifts the images to make it look more of a scene without having to do lots of colouring! (a great cheat!!).
I managed to get them intertwined slightly- the beaks are a separate stamp meaning you can change the direction which is great for changing their look and position.
I hope you love these little birds as much as me. I can see a whole flock of them, in different shades too!
Do pop over to the Clearly Besotted blog and visit Lisa & Michelle to see what they’ve cooked up too!
See you tomorrow, with another teaser,
