Clearly Besotted June Teasers Day 4

It’s Day 4 ! How are you? Today we’re looking at the ‘I Pick You’ set. I have used two of the bears who do indeed make the perfect pair.

I have no idea why I thought I’d do a pear shaped blank, but there we are. I simply sketched out a pear shape onto a tent folded piece of green cardstock. It didn’t go pear shaped, haha, and as pears aren’t completely symmetrical, you don’t need to worry about the shape either. I coloured and cut out the two characters and added lots of detail shading using Prismacolor pencils.

You can see the pencil marks still on there. I didn’t rub them off, but I guess you could. I trimmed out a stalk shape and added a side branch that was wedge shaped on the end so I had something to glue the leaf on. Adding details onto the leaf using alcohol markers. It’s surprisingly easy to make this shape as it’s so recognisable, so you don’t need to worry about being too precise.

You can see all the details. I added lots of speckling with dotting an alcohol marker to give shading and depth. I wonder what other fruits we could do to match this set. There’s certainly loads of inspiration in the I Pick You set.

It’s time to head over to the Clearly Besotted Blog, then onto Lisa and Michelle. There’s also Alberto @loshakeratoalberto on Instagram, Francine VuillemeKeeway Tsao and Kitty Day so please go and encourage them with a visit and a comment.

It’s Release Day tomorrow (yay!) and I have a little floral card.

See you tomorrow, Keren x
