Clearly Besotted August Teasers Day 4 – Pirouetting Plushies

Hellooo! Welcome back. I hope you’re loving these sneak peeks. Today I’ve got two adorable dancing penguins for you; Pipsqueak and Pipella.

They are so madly in love, that a disco glitter ball wasn’t good enough- it had to be a heart one.

They were both more used to line dancing, but got a little obsessed with Strictly Come Dancing. They are rehearsing the Polka which is just perfect for penguins.

This card was a really quick make.

Using a plain dark cardstock means there’s so little extra you need to add. Just colour the penguins and a little white heat embossing using WOW! embossing powder and you’re done x

I’m sure these little ones will capture your heart too!

Before you go, there’s the Clearly Besotted Blog to visit, then Lisa, Michelle and Keeway to see too.

Back tomorrow for Release day!

Clearly Besotted August Teasers Day 1 – Dive Right In

Hi everyone! How are you all?

It’ great to be diving into a new round of teasers (sorry!) with the new set Dive Right In. I love that this has the scene, the plushies and the extras; all in one set. Want to see?

The background was actually pretty quick. Quicker still was the fact I’d made it a while back using a gel plate and I was short on time so had a quick rifle through some pre-prepared backgrounds and this one was just perfect.

I did some pretty simple colouring- and love the green, coral and brown combo.

I have to admit, I’ve always fancied diving to explore a ship wreck- although they’re always deep down in very murky waters. If it was bright and well-lit like this scene, I’d be there in a shot! So the background was made using PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics which are my paint of choice and vastly superior to any other paint I’ve used. The rest is just simple Alcohol marker colouring in. Very therapeutic.

I’d love to know what these two fish were chatting about. Whatever it is, they both seem very happy under the sea.

There’s always lots to ‘sea’ over at the Clearly Besotted Blog, and we’ve got Michelle and Lisa’s blogs for more loveliness too. We’ve also got the fab Keeway Tsao joining us for this release too, so do pop to see her!

See you tomorrow!

Clearly Besotted May Teasers – Spilling Tea

Hello again …haven’t all these sets been wonderful! I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying them too.

Today is a lesson in masking. My project makes bad use of post-it notes, and I learned that masking top down rather than bottom up!

The set is called ‘Spilling Tea’ and I’ve just chosen two of the images. I wanted to stack the cups up, with the little kitty balancing precariously at the top. I began by stamping the cups and masking and keeping on stamping. Look at the stack more closely…

Yup. the cups aren’t fitting together inside each other. Once I’d done 3, I actually noticed, but call me lazy, I decided to just press on, incorrect cups and all! The kitten is exactly like our cat.. it will find the highest point in the room to settle on, even if it’s not very stable!

I added lots of doodled dots and some light blue around all the cups to add some depth. The corrugated card base seemed to fit the best and isn’t the sen’tea’ment just perfect! haha.

I know lots of people love tea/coffee stamp sets so I know this will be a real hit (and not just the caffeine type!).

Better go, before these puns get worse.

Do visit the Clearly Besotted blog , then Michelle Short and finally Keeway too!

See you for Release Day tomorrow!
