Altenew Plentiful Patterns Stand-alone Dies/Stencils Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello friends! Who doesn’t love a good pattern?! Well I’m so pleased to be joining in with Altenew celebrating their latest collection of dies. These can be stand alone or combined together (as you’ll see in some of my projects). You might have come here from Carol Hintermeier’s blog and if you want to start at the beginning, hop over to the main Altenew Card blog.

(Following links are affiliate ones that earns me a little extra but with no cost to you.)

These two sets are just stunning! I’ve used the Impressionist Bouquet Layering Stencil Set with the Impressionist Bouquet Die Set and combined it with the You Matter Die Set. I love these sets so much. The stencil is easy to use with inks- I used Distress Inks and some plain cardstock to make stripes.

The scripty you is such a beautiful font! The next set I’m showcasing is Itty Bitty Flowers Die Set along with You Matter Die Set. I’ve used black glitter cardstock plus some matt mirror cardstock. Using grey and black for the flowers gives a subtle look. The sentiments that go with the ‘you’ in the You Matter die set are just perfect for so many occasions.

Free Gifts

Here are TWO ways to get a FREEBIE to kickstart your creativity! Free gift will be added to cart automatically.

  • Get a FREE brand new Plentiful Patterns Release Mini Inspiration Guide with every order from 08/26/2021 through 08/28/2021. Shop HERE!

My next project is using the new String Panel Cover Die and the You Matter Die Set die cut from the Altenew Glitter Cardstock set in Pink Brilliance. I love how you can piece individual colours into the design.

Giveaway Prizes

$300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $25 gift certificate to 8 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 08/30/2021 for a chance to win.

Altenew will draw 10 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 09/02/2021

My final project is using the Pattern Motif Die Set and the sentiment is from the Folk Art Stamp Set

Creating it is simple. I just layered up lots of scrap pieces of cardstock together on a piece of cardstock. Die cut the floral image onto a larger piece of cardstock and use the negative die cut over the top using foam pads.

Then layer the flower over the top and then the stamped sentiment on top of that. It’s a very classy and elegant image.

If you want to check out the whole release, follow this link to see all the different dies.

Next on the hop is Linda Westfall who will have something inspiring for you to see. Thanks for joining me today to see this wonderful collection of dies and if you get lost, I’ve added the whole list below!

Altenew Modern & Edgy Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog and if you’ve come here from Nicole Watt’s blog, then a big welcome. You might want to join in with all the fun from the beginning, and if that’s the case, please pop to Altenew’s blog and start there.

All following links are affiliate ones. Thanks for supporting me by clicking them, it just pays me a little extra but costs you nothing! x

This is a cool release, and do grab a drink as there’s a lot to show you! Altenew are releasing stamps, dies, stencils, embossing folders, and way more! The first set I’m using is called Fresh Bloom.

The Fresh Bloom stamp set is full of possibilities; your stamp set, your colours! I love reds so added a full on red one in the front and then a subtler reddish mix on the back one. You’ll see more of the leaves later- they’re just so elegant! There’s a matching Fresh Bloom Die set too

My next project is using some simple heat embossing.

For this card, I used several of the foliage images from the Fresh Bloom stamp set and die cut them using the matching Fresh Bloom Die Set. I just heat embossed using silver embossing powder on a dark teal cardstock piece. I used the Woven Stripes stamp set. It’s such a lovely stamp set- you can use it as a background or a bold statement. I white heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of Matt Duralar (from Grafix) and added some of the lovely new Essential White Enamel Dots which come in a pack of black and white in different sizes.

There are some lovely freebies to celebrate the new release :

Here are THREE ways to get a FREEBIE to kickstart your creativity! (Free gift will be added to cart automatically.)

  • Get a FREE brand new Modern & Edgy Release Inspiration Guide (worth $5.99) with every order of high-value Modern & Edgy release bundles. Shop HERE! *Exclusions apply.
  • Get a FREE brand new Creative Jump Start Class with every order from the new Modern & Edgy release collection from 08/04/2021 through 08/10/2021. Shop HERE
  • Get a FREE brand new Modern & Edgy Release Mini Inspiration Guide with every order from 08/04/2021 through 08/06/2021. Shop HERE!

Onto the next project. This time a little more of a graphic style..

The new Diamond Frame Cover die does all the ‘heavy lifting’ for you. I love how you can get real impact just by using the outer frame, or start to build in colour like I’ve done. You can see the Fresh Bloom stamp set in the background. I’ve also used my favourite Hello & Hugs Die Set plus the Glitter Cardstock Ocean Reflection pack. Now onto the prizes..

Giveaway Prizes..yay!

$300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $25 gift certificate to 8 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 08/10/2021 for a chance to win.

Altenew will draw 10 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 08/12/2021.

There’s also some new sets of Mixed Media inks being released which I absolutely LOVE !

If you’ve never used them before, here’s a graphic explaining more and showing the whole set of colours. They come in two sets but you can purchase them individually too.

I used Sapphire, Persian Blue, Carribbean Sky and Buttercream pigment inks. I initially created a piece of fabric using the 3 blues but then decided to add in some yellow. So what type of material have I stamped on? Cotton- but if you want the most crisp images, then go for mercerised cotton ( a process which treats the cotton with sodium hydroxide which strengthens the fabric and makes it smoother). Get the individual colours or treat yourself to the Glacier Caves or Summer Afternoon bundles.

So what did I do with it afterwards?

I created a notebook cover adding in a little strip of coordinating fabric plus some old jean fabric. Here’s the inside..

I whipped up a bookmark too. The Mixed Media Inks aren’t just for fabric though- try them on wood, paper- anything that’s porous! If you want to see this lovely Modern & Edgy release in full, please go here

Well you’ve heard enough from me- the next lovely designer to go and visit is Erin Thompson. Thanks so much for joining me today. If you happen to get lost- I’ve added the whole list of designers taking part below.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Fashion Monger Dahlia Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

(All links are affiliate ones)

Hello lovely people. I’m so happy to be with you again for the latest in the Build-A-Flower series. This month it’s the Fashion Monger Dahlia, and what a beauty it is. Welcome – if you’ve arrived here from Linda Westfall’s blog then an especially large welcome. You might want to start at the beginning- at the Altenew blog.

I’ve created two projects using this beautiful new set.

Firstly, I wanted to use the pretty foliage. I had a shape like a scorpion’s tale in mind. I wasn’t convinced by it towards the end, but the focus is on the lovely flowers anyhow!

Do you want to make a bold statement on your handmade cards? The Fashion Monger Dahlia is the flower for you! This set features one six-layer flower and two three-layer leaves. The leaves have a delicate and lacy feel to them to help you achieve a richer look on your projects. The included sentiments feature a gorgeous pairing of fonts to accompany your floral creations.

Aren’t those leaves amazing! As usual, there’s a great giveaway…

Giveaway Prizes

There are $200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 08/07/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 08/09/2021.

I used the same colour combination for the second project.

I love the multiple layers that give you so many colour options. You can really change up this flower. The Fashion Monger Dahlia is a stamp and die set. There’s also a Stamp/Die set with ink bundle (it has 5% off). If you love the whole Build-A-Flower series, then you could sign up for the Monthly Subscription (which gives you a 14% discount).

To create the black and white backgrounds, I just used some pieces of black cardstock trimmed into different widths and adhered with different spacings.

Now all that’s all for the moment, but there’s lots more to see. Next up is Daniel Diaz who is bound to amaze you. If you get lost along the way, I’ve added the whole list below.

Thanks so much for visiting me, and hope to see you again soon x

Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Daffodil & Glitter Cardstock Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone! So nice to welcome you to my blog. Today we’ve a double celebration; the Daffodil Craft-A-Flower and a lovely new collection of Glitter Cardstock in the most gorgeous colours. I’ve got one project using the new dies and 2 other projects just using the Glitter Cardstock Sets. You may have come from Maryam Perez’s blog, so a big hello if that’s the case. If you’d like to start at the beginning, do go to the Altenew Card Blog.

I’ve used the beautiful Craft-A-Flower Daffodil set (all links are affiliate ones) and I’ve used the Gilded Glitter Cardstock Set (which is 6 colours and 24 sheets in total) and the Forest Canopy Glitter Cardstock set (4 colours and 16 sheets). The Gilded colour is on the inside of the daffodil and the Forest Canopy on the leaves. You can also get the Craft-A-Flower Daffodil and Gradient Cardstock bundle (there’s a 5% discount).

Initially there will be a limited supply of the cardstock so if it’s not available when you want to purchase please sign up for back-in-stock notification on the product page to get notified by email as soon as the glitter cardstock sets are available again.

You might spy the background Moroccan Lattice Cover Die and the thought provoking sentiment is from the Slim Sentiments Die Set. I added some Grafix Duralar Matt film over the top of the Moroccan Lattice die to soften the effect and so it’s not fighting for the limelight with the beautiful daffodil.

Onto the next projects using the beautiful blues; Ocean Reflection Glitter Cardstock Set (4 colours and 16 sheets).

I chose the gorgeous Craft-A-Flower Buttercup die set to decorate the tag. I used some grey cardstock for the base and trimmed off slithers of the different coloured glitter cardstock and added white cardstock to highlight the glitter. Sometimes we can use it sparingly and it still creates impact.

Giveaway Prizes

There is $200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 07/13/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 07/15/2021.

Glitter is notoriously hard to photograph but the picture gives a real hint of the sparkle from the Ocean Reflection Glitter Cardstock Set. I added strips of each different colour in the set and put the Ornate Cover Die over the top. Adding the Hello from Hello & Hugs die set is the perfect finishing touch.

All that’s needed is for me to direct you to the lovely Karen Brown’s blog.

Thanks for joining me today and I’ll see you soon x

Altenew Eclectic Vibes Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello lovely people, it’s that wonderful time of the month where Altenew release a bumper amount of stamps, dies and more. This month it’s called Eclectic Vibes and you’ll find a vintage style with a modern twist in my projects. You might have come here from Bridget Casey’s blog, and if so, please know you’re very welcome here. If you want to begin from the very start- please pop back to the Altenew Card Blog.

I’ve 3 projects to show you; my favourite one is first.

So this card might need a little explaining. The utterly fabulous boots are from the new set Vintage Vibes. When I saw them, I wished I’d had a pair as a teen. I wanted to give them a modern twist with the colours that I’d chosen. I wanted to use the Altenew Fineliner Pens (which are awesome by the way) and I came up with the idea to draw some basic legs (which I wish mine looked like!) and attach a piece of cardstock in a skirt shape with some shading. (all links are affiliate ones). The set means you can add so many different combinations of colour.

I love the Vintage Vibes set (which has an accompanying die set) with its fun sentiments. This second card uses it in a slightly different way.

You could go completely vintage with your colours and the Just A Number stamp set and Die set which I’m using in the next project pairs perfectly.

Here are THREE ways to get a FREEBIE to kickstart your creativity! Free gift will be added to cart automatically.

  • Get a FREE brand new Eclectic Vibes Release Inspiration Guide (worth $5.99) with every order of high-value Eclectic Vibes release bundles. Shop HERE! *Exclusions apply.
  • Get a FREE brand new Creative Jump Start Class with every order from the new Eclectic Vibes release collection from 07/05/2021 through 07/11/2021. Shop HERE
  • Get a FREE brand new Eclectic Vibes Release Mini Inspiration Guide with every order from 07/05/2021 through 07/07/2021. Shop HERE!

The last project is pretty simple and quick but uses the Just A Number stamp set along with the heart from Vintage Vibes. You can also see the super useful 2 in 1 Altenew Glue Pen that makes sticking down so easy. I love the way that the overlapping hearts create new colours.

Giveaway Prizes

Altenew is giving away $300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $25 gift certificate to 8 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 07/11/2021 for a chance to win.

Altenew will draw 10 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 07/13/2021.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at the new release. If you want to see the whole release- go here

Now I’d love you to go to Linda Westfall’s blog next- I can’t wait to see what she’s conjured up.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Bearded Iris Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone! How are you? Hope you’re having a lovely day. I’m thrilled to be joining in with a celebratory blog hop with the newest Build-A-Flower set; Bearded Iris.

I think Irises are beautiful; almost architectural and with so many varieties. This hop will be full of the most beautiful projects and if you’ve come from Justine Hovey’s blog, then a big hello to you. If you fancy starting at the beginning, then head over to the Altenew Card Blog.

This is what I created using the Bearded Iris set.

Sometimes simple is just the best. You don’t need much else as the flower just speaks for itself. I stamped the iris out using different purples, using a grey outline ink so the outline is much more subtle and allows for the colours to shine.

I think we often shy away from dark bases, but the black really makes draws your eye to the flower. If you are looking for the most elegant and realistic iris, you are in the right place! This stamp set features a gorgeous bearded iris outline with four additional colouring layers, along with stems and leaves. You can use the other iris outline as background foliage, or simply add it to floral arrangements stamped or coloured in with your favourite colouring medium.

If you’d like to get hold of it do visit the Altenew store for the Build-A-Flower Bearded Iris Layering Stamp & Die Set (affiliate links) or the Build-A-Flower Bearded Iris Layering Stamp, Die & Ink Bundle (with 5% off)

If you can’t bear to miss out on this wonderful monthly series of stamps and dies, you can also sign up for a Build A Flower subscription plan which has 14% off.

You can see how I’ve simply used white gel pen dots and added a few dashes around some matching coloured cardstock that I’ve folded into a raised banner. You really don’t need to add too much and if you batch stamp the irises it’s easy to have a bundle of cards made up in advance.

Onto the Giveaway, there is $200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 07/07/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 07/09/2021.

It’s time to go to Linda Westfall and be inspired..

Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Peruvian Lily Layering Die Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone! Happy Monday (or whichever day you visit!) to you. Hope you’re having a lovely day. Today sees the release of Altenew’s latest Craft-A-Flower die set and this month it’s a Peruvian Lily. What a stunning flower and so easy to create using these dies.

For those of you that have come via Laura Jane’s blog, then a big hello to you! If you’d like to begin..at the beginning!..please go to Altenew’s Card Blog.

Isn’t it a stunning die set! It might look complicated, but it isn’t really and the diagrams from Altenew are so helpful in giving you the directions for which piece goes where. The hardest part is deciding which colours to choose!

(the following links are affiliate ones. I really appreciate your support x). You can get the Craft-A-Flower Peruvian Lily die set from the Altenew store but maybe you’d like to simplify things and get every monthly release in a discounted subscription (($35.99 →$29.99). If you don’t want to have to try and put coordinating colours together, why not try the discounted Craft-A-flower Peruvian Lily with matching gradient cardstock bundle?

The flower doesn’t need much embellishment…you’ve heard the phrase about gilding the lily 😉 I just used the same coloured strips from creating the flower and put them at angles using different widths onto a tent folded white card. Super easy and quick. Finishing off with some white gel pen dots just adds a little depth and detail to it.

Of course, with every blog hop there are PRIZES to be won..

Giveaway Prizes. There is a total of $200 in prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 6/13/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 06/15/2021.

So it’s time to move along to the next blog, and you’re lucky enough to be going to Verity Biddlecombe’s amazing blog.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Tree Peony Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Welcome to another great blog hop. We are celebrating the release of the latest in the Altenew Build-A-Flower series. This one is called Tree Peony and you’ll absolutely love it.

The hop, if you want to begin from the beginning, do go to the Altenew Blog first. If you’ve come to my blog from Laurie Willison’s, then a big welcome to you.

I decided to do something light and soft. Here’s what I came up with.

Isn’t it a stunning set. Stamping the outline in pink really adds something to the delicacy of the floral images. First I stamped out some of the flowers plus die cut them out. I started with a tent folded base and cut a strip out towards the right and backed it with some Matt Duralar (Grafix).

This is how Altenew describes this dreamy set. ‘This set features an outline image and three coordinating coloring layers each for the petals and flower center. The coloring layers have been drawn in detail for stunning realism! We have also included a leaf image (outline + three coloring layers) and a dainty little branch with small buds and leaves. The images are handy for flower arrangements or bouquets on your handmade cards, scrapbook layouts, journal pages, and DIY decor projects. Finally, finish off your project with any of the six sweet sentiments included in the set.’

I chose to stamp with 2 of the main layers plus the central ones. I adore how you can make the flower more full or less. I did add some watercolour to the flower buds to give them more depth.

(following links are affiliate links). The set comes as a Build-A-Flower Tree Peony Layering Stamp & Die Set, and there’s also a bundle with an ink set along with the stamp and die set at a 5% discount. If you don’t want to miss the monthly Build-A-Flower sets, you can sign up for a monthly subscription.

Giveaway Prizes !

$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 06/07/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 06/09/2021.

I love the sentiments in the set. Just lovely honest ones. Perfect for lots of times and particularly for right now.

I hope you love this set as much as I do. It’s now time to go to the next person in the hop and that’s Carol Hintermeier. I’m really looking forward to seeing what beautiful project she’s created.

Below is the whole list of people in the blog hop in case you get lost along the way.

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a wonderful day,

Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Chamomile Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello lovely blog friends! It’s time for a stamping release, and Altenew have a wonderful new set in the Paint-A-Flower series called ‘Chamomile‘. We’re hopping and celebrating the new set so a big welcome if you’ve come from Nathalie DeSousa‘s blog. If you fancy seeing it in order, then do start at the Altenew Card Blog.

I loved stamping and colouring and this is what I made;

I chose alcohol markers to colour it in and then added some Prismacolor around the edges of the image to soften the edges and give it some dimension.

Isn’t the sentiment so encouraging! I love that there are so many people I could send it to.

You might know about the Paint-A-Flower subscription that Altenew run. It guarantees you the monthly set and you also get a discount too, so if you love colouring, then this might be for you!

You might be able to see where I’ve cut around the edge of the flower and inserted some jade coloured cardstock with little white stripes of cardstock. It gives a little modern twist to the project and I’ve balanced the design with a tiny piece of the jade/white strip on the top left too. You can see where I added sequins on top of the where the image has dots to give a textural focus.

As usual, there’s a fabulous giveaway..

Giveaway Prizes:

$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 04/27/2021 for a chance to win.

Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 04/30/2021.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project and a first look at the new Paint-A-Flower Chamomile stamp set.

All that’s left is for you to visit my lovely friend Virginia Lu for some guaranteed loveliness!

Altenew 6th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway

Hello! How are you? It’s an exciting week as Altenew celebrate their 6th Birthday. I remember their very first stamp sets and it’s amazing to see how much they’ve developed and grown! I’m delighted to be part of a blog Hop with some fab talented designers and some awesome prizes.

A special welcome if you’ve come to my blog from Irina Fonina’s blog!

I’m starting off with some projects- and I’ll tell you more about the prizes and sponsors as we go! Firstly- my favourite first…

Aren’t the florals in the Simple Beauty set gorgeous?! I’ll never tire of this set. I’ve used 3 colours of Inks across the two flowers and some extra Prismacolor pencils to add shading.

You might also spy the Tartan stamp set that I’ve trimmed around and cut out the middles. The sentiment is from Ornamental Bliss. As part of the blog Hop there are lots of wonderful sponsors offering prizes to you as you hop around each blog.

The idea is that you’ll visit each blog and the more comments you leave, the greater the chances. To make the hop more exciting, start your comments with ‘Hi from ( city or country where you’re from). 37 winners will be chosen at random from comments left by 4/12/2020 on any of the blogs listed and then announced on the Altenew Card Blog on 4/18/2020.

Onto my second project

We are in a really challenging time, and I’m so glad this Birthday celebration can distract us a little. I thought ‘hope’ was a timely sentiment to be sending to a friend. The background is fussy cut ( I know- it was a little ambitious of me, but very relaxing) after using the Linear stencil.

You can see the cut outs and the Black Soot ink rubbed over the stencil. I also used the Caps Bold Alpha dies which are my new favourites!

I’ve inked them partially and added gel pen and black marker dots and some drops to match the ink colour. By the end, it reminded me a little of a big wheel!

Before I post my last project, it’s worth sharing about the prizes on offer and also the shipping deals.

Add the codes to get Free U.S. shipping or $5 off international shipping! (These aren’t valid on prior purchases and can’t be combined with other promo codes). Here’s all the prizes you could be in with a chance of winning.

I love sending cards with encouraging sentiments. the main image and stamped part of the sentiment are from Ornamental Bliss and I’ve used the Caps Bold Alphas again. I’ve used the same technique for the letters although a little more subtly and just partially stamped one of the main images in the stamp set.
