Altenew Adventures Ahead Stamps/Dies/Stencils/More Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hey everybody! I’m absolutely delighted to be taking part in this brilliant blog hop to celebrate a brand new release of stamps, dies and more. Who doesn’t love a good adventure! Before I get to the projects I’ve made, you might want to start at the Altenew blog and do the hop in order. Some of you may have come from Nathalie DeSousa, so a big welcome if that’s the case.

I have several projects, and firstly using the new set Spectacular Adventures Stamp Set and Spectacular Adventures Die Set.
I’ve used some extra projects and it’s a great idea for using washi tape. The centre of the glasses is using the new Evening Skyline Washi Tape. I simply stamped onto a section of tape that I’d stuck onto some thin cardstock using a permanent ink like Stazon. Because of the slightly waxy nature of washi tape, you might find that it doesn’t stamp very well. 2 solutions: 1. if there’s enough of the line showing it will be easy enough to trim out. 2. Stamp and trim out the inner glasses, stick the tape on top and trim around.
For the back of the glasses, I’ve used the NEW Lapis Lazuli Washi Tape which comes in thin coordinating washi tape strips and I’ve added those on a piece of cardstock before mounting the glasses onto it. You can see the background which was easily created using the Polka Dot Buds 2 in 1 Stencil, adding ink once, moving the stencil slightly to the left and down and adding more ink in a darker colour. That gold on the washi tape is just gorgeous isn’t it!
Next up is the Spectacular Adventures Stamp and Die Set, but this time colouring in one of the images. As you can see from this card, it’s easy to change up for a male or female recipient. Such is the beauty of this set.
You can see that I’ve coloured in with alcohol ink markers and used the New Purple Gradient Cardstock set. Cutting different widths of cardstock and layering them at different heights is an easy technique to add interest to your backgrounds without cluttering them.
The final project using this set is this super easy card. Anyone could make this in 5 minutes! Simply using the Coffee Break Gradient Cardstock pack, slicing into different widths and then using Versamark or other similar embossable ink to stamp the image. The ink cleverly adds a darker shade to your cardstock and even leaves a slight mark on white which adds to the cool and classy look. Perfect for anyone! The sentiment is from the Folk Art Stamp set (& I LOVE that font!)

My final project is using the new Color Bands die set which could be used a rainbow like I’ve done or used as a decorative background; it would look beautiful in pastel colours with the shapes spaced out or interlinking. I just added some watercolour in similar colours to the cardstock to give a watery look at the bottom.
