Heffy Doodle & Clearly Besotted Blog Hop !

Hello everyone! I’m really happy to be joining in a special collaboration with Clearly Besotted and Heffy Doodle- both are fabulous stamp companies, and we are having a super blog hop with fabulous prizes. If you’ve come from Ashley Ebben’s blog, a big welcome!

Choosing what to use for my project was tough- how do you choose? Well I combined quite a few sets..but first, what did I make?

So I was having a little fun; a play on the word ‘Lollipop Lady/Man’. For any non-U.K. peeps, this is the person who helps our kids cross the road mostly outside schools. They look like this…

See how it looks like a lollipop? Well, I knew I wanted to use one of the hippos from the Clearly Besotted Rainy Day Play set and holding the lollipop?- well this Sweet Stuff Stamp Set from Heffy Doodle was just perfect! It also comes with a matching die set if you aren’t partial to cutting out!

The background behind Hipollipop Lady (could be a man too!) is using the super cool Build A Cabin Die from Heffy Doodle.

Obviously herding the school of fish to school (see what I did there 😉 ) is a challenging job, but with fish as cute as these from the Clearly Besotted Clearly Contained Contents, it can’t be a chore.

I added my sea using some textured paper in a sea colour ( because I was too lazy to create my own with watercolours !!) then I wanted a sentiment to finish it off so grabbed this Hello Heffy Cuts die.

It’s a fun, albeit slightly random imaginary scene- but isn’t that what being creative is all about- taking us somewhere completely different and lovely. I’d happily go to a world where hippos help little fish across the sea so they can learn about wriggling, shoaling and fishing for compliments!

Now for the Giveaway!

To be entered to win the giveaway, all you need to do is comment at each stop along the Blog Hop!
Clearly Besotted will be giving away £25 and Heffy Doodle will be giving away £25 to their respective stores!  Be sure to comment before 11:59 PM on April 24th to be entered to win!

Each company will post their random winner on April 25th at 10AM EST!  Make sure to check the Heffy Doodle Blog and Clearly Besotted Blog to see if you’re a winner!

Next on the hop is the talented Tallie Clewley

The whole list of the hop is at the bottom, in case you get lost.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing this mash up of two wonderful company’s products, and I’ll see you again soon,

Keren x

This is so cool. I enjoyed reading how you approached creating the project. I’m from the United States, so I didn’t know the term “lollipop man”. 😊 Your coloring is so beautiful, and I love your creative layout.

Calling them “lollipop lady/man” is so much more interesting and fun than “crossing guard” as we call them here in the states. And this card is even soooo much more fun than that. Love the way the fish are pouring out of the hut and the hippo is in the raincoat. All the intricate details of the slimline card are adorable.
