Clearly Besotted February Teasers Day 4

Hello again! We’re on the final lap; day 4!! I said today was for more sophisticated people but perhaps I should just have said glitter fest! This stamp set is much better coloured in with a solid colour, but I thought I’d get stripe-y and just play with a few coloured markers!

The set is called ‘Piled Up Plushies’ and these balloons go perfectly with the two piles of cuties, but I wanted to show that you can make a different look very easily.

I don’t know if you’re like me, but I have a large plastic bag full of leftover cardstock pieces. I’m always reaching for very similar colours but I just pulled the first three colours out and then trimmed them into different widths and lengths. I adhered them onto a strip of card and then added it to a card base with foam tape.

You can see several things in the photo above- firstly that my balloons look a lot like mints and also that the glitter has gone everywhere! I just added a little glue and some loose glitter and it just spread! The background balloons were stamped onto glitter cardstock (yeah- don’t try that in a hurry unless it’s pretty flat- it’s a nightmare- even with a stamping platform to repeat stamp!).

You can see the sentiment which I stamped in WOW! Rose Gold embossing powder onto Matt Dura-lar which I’ve mentioned before. I did add some balloon strings with a pen before cutting it out. That bit was pretty easy.

I hope this has given you some ideas for this set. Just colouring it or paper piecing or adding pattern like me will give really different looks. Add it above the scene of piled up Plushies and you’ve got cuteness overload all on one card!!

Next there’s a wealth of gorgeousness over on the Clearly Besotted Blog and then do pop over to Michelle’s blog.

I’m back tomorrow for the exciting release day, but until then,

Keren x

Love your striped balloons with the sparkly gorgeousness! I think they look really effective.m being striped rather than solid. Love the cardstock striped behind too and the shadow with the glitter cardstock as well. Great design! xx
