Clearly Besotted January Teasers Day 3

Well hey again!

I do hope you’re enjoying all of these teasers. We all have fun visiting each other’s blogs from the team as none of us have seen what the other teamies have created!

Today I’m revisiting ‘Egyptian Felines’, because, well…just because I’m allowed and the sets are just a whole bundle of fun.

Isn’t she utterly adorable!

I decided to use a couple of the new stencils out this month; ‘History Has It’ which boasts 4 different images just perfect from creating scenes. I used the pyramids to make an easy backdrop. The second stencil I’ve used to create the fireworks is called ‘City Scene’ and has a city outline and fab fireworks. It just makes it so quick and easy. If you’ve never used stencils before, you just need some inkpads ( I’ve used a mix of dye, Distress inks and Distress Oxides).

You can see the fireworks and they take seconds to do…literally! I’ve added some gold gel pen for the sparkles and explosions.

You can see the pyramids here too. They were very quickly done. I could probably have done to spend a bit more time on them- but finished is better than perfect…right?!

Being time poor, I also cheated on the background and foreground. I rarely use patterned paper and am determined to use more of it up. I’m not hoarding it intentionally- I just never get around to using it!

I hope you’ve loved the sets so far.

Don’t forget to hop over to the Clearly Besotted Blog, Michelle and Lisa too

I’ll see you tomorrow for a look at some majestic pooches!

Xx

What a wonderful scene with the fireworks in the sky, Keren. You would have never known that the background is paper, it looks like ink blending! xx

But the trick is to use the best possible patterned paper and you did…brilliantly, Love this little guy and his bright exotic scene. Beautifully done.
