Clearly Besotted August Teasers Day 2

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of Clearly Besotted Teasers!

Today I want to welcome you to the Great Besotted Bake Off! Doesn’t the line-up look so exciting….

A lovely line up of Cornish ware. For the none- English and the none- Cornish ( of which I include myself!), this is a particular style of pottery from Cornwall that’s been around since 1926. When I saw the images for this set ( which is called Shelve It), it just said ‘blue and white Cornish Ware). I think it’s rather stylish.

Whilst it was rather challenging to stop the Alcohol Markers blurring into each other, I was quite pleased with the result and it makes a lovely little scene. I do love stamps that involve no masking but create atmosphere, and these images cleverly do that.

The sentiment is perfect; do what you love.

I used to love being in the kitchen. I used to love cooking. Then I had 5 children. The End.

Truthfully, I rarely enjoy cooking, although occasionally enjoy a spot of baking. This card would be perfect for a budding baker. They’d make fab Birthday cards too!

You can see how I’ve created the images to run along the top of the card and trimmed the edges at an angle to make it look a bit like a tablecloth on a table. There aren’t any accompanying dies this month, but there’s nothing a decent pair of scissors and a craft knife can’t fix!

I did consider writing a story. But then I felt it might become a bit twee. Disney has already kinda done it!!

There are 3 other images- which I know you’ll love.

I can’t wait to see what Jenny and Steph have cooked up over on the blog. Don’t forget about Lisa and Michelle too

I have something un-card related tomorrow!

See you then

Oh I love your Cornish Ware, Keren! You coloured them perfectly. I love that they look like they are placed on the table with the table cloth. Such a great design xx

I recognised that bakeware immediately but had no idea it was from Cornwall although I did know it had been around for many years. Always an education coming to your blog! I don’t like cooking much either, but funnily enough, baking is always more fun! Clever design, wonderful card for a budding baker xx

Brilliant bake ware, it reminds me so so much of my grandma’s kitchen in that style. Utterly brilliant. Now tomorrow has me guessing , non card related ??????

My mother had a Cornish ware bowl…someone must have given it to her. Anyway, wish I had it now to compare it with your charming little kitchen scene which, by the way, is awesome. No one but you and your clever fingers could achieve such awesome fussy cutting. Adorable card…I’m over cooking, as well. Too many meals prepared in hours and eaten in 10 minutes. Besides, have a tough time coming up with menus. I do, however, enjoy baking when it’s cool. Otherwise the oven just sits and stares at me.
