Clearly Besotted February Teasers Day 3

Hi everyone! Thankyou for your lovely comments so far. It really does make me smile to know people are enjoying the release!

I said yesterday that we’d do some relaxed reading and that was a clue to the item I’ve made…a bookmark with a difference!

You’re probably wondering how it works- I guess it doesn’t really look like a bookmark! Well, firstly the stamp set- ‘Spring Bouquet’ and features tulips and daffodils; two of my favourites! I’ve simply heat embossed in white and then cut around them with a craft knife, leaving the top attached. You could do this with the matching die- just making sure you leave the top portion sticking out from the cutting mats.

You can see that I’ve used the image upside down ( I rather like doing that!) so it would be the tulip flowers that would be the place marker rather than the stems. This next picture gives you a better idea of which bits I cut out. I coloured in the image using Nuvo Aquaflow pens and added a simple black dashed line around the edge of the tag.

It’s a really simple idea and one that I’m going to use again to make some for myself- I hate doing that turning down the corner thing and tatty pieces of paper aren’t on either!

Well I hope you are popping back tomorrow for a Venn diagram!! ( haha- now I’ve got you intrigued !) and whilst you wait- please nosey over to the Clearly Besotted Blog and of course Michelle and Lisa

Until tomorrow xx

What a wonderful idea, Keren! I love that the tulips are upside down too as then you get to use the flower heads as the actual bookmark. So pretty! xx

I love upside down flowers (I did the Perfect Peonies set that way when it first came out). Also you get to see the beautiful flowers more than the stems this way šŸ˜. So creative and you cut it so well with a craft knife. I find it hard not to get jagged edges! Iā€™m fascinated to see what is coming with the venn diagram!!! Lovely idea Keren and perfectly executed Xx

I adore a bouquet of tulips… what a treat it would be to find a bunch in a book!! Another gorgeous card, another grand idea, my friend…

Fantastic idea, great colour work. I hate bending corners of pages on books or using supermarket receipts to keep my page lol. Looking forward to Venn diagrams tomorrow !!!!! Thank you .

Such a brilliant idea! I love that it’s a flower too and that you’ve given us a bit of the New Testament to show it off – maybe I need to make one for my Dad! You are just full of great ideas! xx
