Clearly Besotted February Teasers Day One

Hello everyone! Happy Monday!

Hope you’re ready for a jam packed few days full of inspiring new Clearly Besotted stamp sets, dies plus a new stencil.

I’m using a really beautiful set called ‘Floral Spray’. I tried it several ways and in the end, came back to no-line colouring. It’s has a Victorian-esque feel to it with the colours I chose- but then brought it back to 2019 with the simple set of 3 stripes.

I used my Nuvo AquaFlow markers to colour the image in, and it actually went ok; I was really happy with it…then I made the mistake of adding the Gloss Glitter pen to it- thinking I’d used my alcohol markers!

Ughh. It all smudged. But then I’d got a layer of product that I couldn’t really affect the underneath colouring with. So, I added a tiny bit of extra colour- but I couldn’t get it back to where it was. A good lesson in concentrating on what you’re doing !!!

Thankfully it wasn’t completely ruined- just a second class result! Ah well- you can hopefully still see the potential and the beauty of the set. There are two larger images- the other is perfect for a corner treatment on a card or journal page.

There’s a whole variety of stamps this month- so please head over to the Clearly Besotted blog to see what Jenny and Steph have been up to-

Then head over to my teamies

Michelle

and Lisa

for some more ideas with the new sets!

I’m back tomorrow – and let’s just say…’spring’ is in the air!!

Those colours are just beautiful Keren. I don’t think you spoilt it at all with the pen (although I have made that same mistake before). I think that because of the Victorian colour palette and feel you can totally get away with a little loose colouring. I think its really gorgeous ❤️ Xx

I musy be blind…I can’t see the smudge. It llooks perfect to me and beautiful, as well. The delicacy of the the spray’s coloring just grabs the eye the minute you look at it. And those graphic stripes just add the the graceful shape of the florals. Brilliant.

I totally agree with Lisa on this one, it reminds me of those scraps you used to be able to buy and put in scrap books. My granny had one. It’s really beautiful and ethereal. xx
