Simply Does it With Fiskars

Hi!

I’ve just got back from the AFCI trade Show ‘Stitches’ in Birmingham and I’m loving a quiet sit down.

I just wanted to post this card from the Fiskarettes page on Facebook ( if you love Fiskars, do search ‘Fiskarettes’ on Facebook and join. It’s always a creative challenge to use simple shapes. Sometimes we’ve got so many products we forget to go back to basics.

This is a super simple idea with punches circles, slit halfway up each middle and one slotted from above onto another slotted circle. It makes fab dimensional shapes.

I’ll be back shortly with a roundup of what I saw and heard at the show. Until then, I’d love to know if any of you use punches regularly!

xx

Punches serve several purposes, especially when you need just a few of something not worth dragging out the diecut machine and hunting down the die that snuck away from its designated space and got itself lost..
Punches are also invaluable when Mr Arthur-itis comes along, cramping up your fingers and wrists with a world of pain. I wouldn’t let anyone borrow my hand punches for more than a week or my work would have to stop..
In a perfect world, there would be more hand squeeze punches of a more artistic nature. I have every small flower punch Fiskars makes! and would love even more.
Button punches are thoroughly useless, thumb punches are a little better but the cream of the crop are the hand squeezees! Please bring out more flowers and leaves!!

LOve this, Keren!!! I own them, but they aren’t used anymore – I found that they just took up too much valuable real estate in my room! HOWEVER… I do have circle dies that would work just so well, right?
