Advent Calendar Extravaganza with Taheerah Atchia
December 23, 2016 at 12:00 pm 190 comments
Hi everyone! Welcome to this fun event!!
Advent Calendar Extravaganza is -the- festive event of the season! This ‘hop with a twist’ was dreamed up by Taheerah Atchia and features surprise destinations each day! Joining in the fun with Taheerah are ONE HUNDRED special guests – each serving up some fantastic Christmas inspiration! Just like an Advent Calendar, you’ll never know where you’re going to be visiting next until you ‘open the door’!
And that’s not all! With 25 *amazing* sponsors taking part as guests as well, your crafty wish list is bound to get a boost with a chance to win a prize EVERY SINGLE DAY!!
Join in the fun every day at taheerah-atchia.com to see what special surprises await behind the door!
Rather than just do cards- (as I reckon by now, if you haven’t finished them by now, then they probably aint gonna happen unless you intend on doing New Year ones!), I thought I’d take one die and a stamp set and do some decor/table decoration. I added in a card using the Noel die although you could easily swap it out for a ‘thanks’ ready for after Christmas gratitude!
The card is using the wonderful Noel Cutaway from Winnie & Walter along with the Frenchy’s Festive Florals set.
I’ve added in the frame from the Winnie & Walter Framed Stamp set.
Next up, a really simple spray of flowers onto a wrap of paper for an easy serviette decoration. These would look so lovely on your Christmas table.
And, whilst we’re talking about tables, you want to seat your guests in the right places, and these partial die-cut place cards would look so sweet at each seat. I’ve used the Noel Cutaway again along with Frenchy’s Festive florals and added in that lovely poinsettia from In bloom: Elsa’s Flora
Adding in a few sequins just gives it a little lift. Lots of little gel pen dots gives it an almost sparkly look!
There you have it; a few festive ideas in case you’re sat on your sofa twiddling your thumbs wondering quite what you’re going to do with yourself for the rest of the day 😉 (haha!)
It’s not a party without a prize – and with prizes every day there are several chances to win! Today’s prize is generously supplied by Butterfly Reflections Ink
who are a total one-stop shop of all the latest stamping and crafty products so you’ll definitely want to win! Simply leave a comment on this post – then head back to taheerah-atchia.com and leave a comment there too! You must leave a comment on Taheerah’s blog as well as mine in order to be eligible to win! Don’t forget to grab the other surprise destinations from Taheerah’s blog and head over to them to leave comments there as well to improve your odds even more! You have until 23:59 EST on 31st December 2016 to enter.
I’d like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas. Might you know the peace of the season and I’ll see you soon!
Keren xx

I like your table decor, but I am most crazy about the card. I love the way all the elements coordinate, the little frame hanging off one of the letters, and the sweet floral touch. Is the background patterned paper, or did you stamp that? Either way, it’s the perfect back drop for this card. Thanks so much.
