Clearly Besotted August Teasers Day 2

Hi! Welcome to Day 2 of Clearly Besotted Teasers!

There are wonderful sets as usual and today, I’m showing you a couple of scene cards using the Hip Hop Hooray set and Deer To Me.

First up..The Vikings (Hip Hop Hooray)

When I think of the Vikings, I think of Up Helly Aa and viking boat burning (& other inaccuracies) and well, I just thought they wouldn’t make a very good scene ;-). My next thought was’BIG’. Well, for some reason, I equate big to Vikings…and when I looked at the stamp set and saw all the food, I imagined a giant sized table fit to bursting.

I thought having the table 3D and using acetate as the base would be fun, and naturally the baby wanted to sit on the chicken. The little dog called Ving, was hovering around for scraps, which would come eventually (the chicken leg is just a trimmed off part of the chicken stamp).

All in all, it made me rather hungry! The table is simply an embossed piece of brown cardstock and adhered to a tent folded acetate base. Granted, the baby is NOT drinking beer, but it’s there simply for artistic effect!

Next up, an entirely more tranquil scene.

Or maybe not.

Think of deers, frolicking in the forest, with lots of beautiful scenery to play amongst?

Or maybe, they just have fun with redundant logs and tree stumps that the humans haven’t purloined just quite yet! It was whilst trying to make the scene work (I colour and cut out the elements and then play around with the shapes), that one of the trees was lying on my desk at an angle, and I thought ‘seesaw’!

The wreaths around their necks are just the bush flowers stamped and cut out. I’ve cut out around the legs so I could slot them onto the see-saw more realistically.

Who knows what the deer get up whilst we’re not looking?!
