Hi! Welcome particularly if you’re hopping around the Summer version of the Coffee Lovers Blog hop. I’ve missed the past few so really wanted to join in with this one. It’s the brainchild of the coffee loving Queen herself; Amy Tsurata!

I recently bought the ‘I Love Coffee’ and I Love Tea sets from Uniko stamps and have created a few projects for the hop. The first was using my matt Dura-Lar sheets which don’t warp when heated so are perfect for heat embossing

I wanted to create a background that didn’t detract from the main image. As it’s not a massive image, I loved the fact I could use it as main image plus a background too.

As I’m typing up the post, I’m actually drinking coffee out of one of these take- away cups but mine isn’t prettied up; I thought it would make a fun container for a gift card or a little gift.

IMG_5854

I like the idea of a coffee wreath- maybe I should create one in my home!

IMG_5855

Once I’d created these two, I suddenly realised that actually this is the SUMMER blog hop and mine weren’t very summery. I looked at the tea set, which has the cutest little flower as one of the images and I got the vision of flowers tumbling from a tea cup; it’s the kind of feeling you get when you kick back with a good friend over a cup of tea!

IMG_5856

Of course, being a Brit, I do enjoy tea from china cup and saucers, and I do have a little collection of floral ones, but not quite like these- aren’t they beautiful stamps!

I can’t wait to see what everyone else has created- this hop is always a brilliant feast of coffee, tea and hot chocolate inspired projects! If you fancy joining in, check out the link page here. There are Sponsor prizes up for grabs for creating projects and it’s a fab community event!

Back soon, and have a lovely weekend

xx

Well you’ve certainly made up for missing previous hops. All of these are so clever and unique. Crushing on the Dura Lar background… elegant is a caffeine-related way. And, as usual, the coloring of that cup is outstanding. As I moved on in your post, I got more and more thrilled with your creations…that cup is so much better than anything Starbucks ever produced. Think a home decor coffee wreath is a stellar idea and you’re just the one to make it. Then I came to your last card…at which point I was rendered speechless, once again (something my mate always appreciates). Honestly, that has to be the sweetest, most beautiful idea I’ve ever seen coming out of a teacup. So glad I could end the week with a Keren fix. Thank you.

That is such a lovely thing to say. I think you will discover your own version when you copy other’s techniques and styles -as you’ll suddenly discover new thought processes as you do. Copying someone else’s stuff isn’t a bad thing; just do it once and then use what you’ve learned to do your unique version. I’d love to see anything you create in response to something I’ve created. That’s what we’re all about- these blogs are a springboard for all of us! xx
