Winnie & Walter Leading Lady Week 2- Digital Files with Stamps & Dies!

October 10, 2015 at 12:00 pm 26 comments

Hi! Welcome to those of you who are visiting for the first time (or recent visitors too !!)

Keren_oct2015

Thank you for all your lovely comments so far about being a Leading Lady, it’s been so encouraging that you’ve enjoyed what I’ve done.

This week, as I mentioned, I wanted to focus on what I think are often forgotten about, but were one of the things that really impressed me about Winnie & Walter; their digi / cut files.

Before some of you get turned off and think this is not for you.. it is!

Ok, you might not have a electronic die cutter ( think Silhouette Cameo, Cricut, Pazzle, Black Cat Cougar etc.)..yet! but lots of these files can be simply printed and then trimmed out, and anyhow, hopefully there’s a little inspiration for you just using the techniques with stamps and dies…

I’ve combined two cut files…Scenery: Rectangled & Triangled and The Big, the Bold & Party Digital Elements

You can see a close-up of one of the projects; the little individual shaker triangles in the photo beneath

If you want to see the projects properly- do pop over to the blog– I’d love for you to leave me some love over there!

For the flowers I stamped out In Bloom: Lola’s Bouquet with Joni Andaya, and used the foliage from Winter Woodland. Add some little sequins and you’re done!

The next card was created using a simple cut file to create a soft textured background. I love the way that the cut vellum almost drapes onto the card.

This was using Winter Woodland, Hugs Cutaway and the cut files Scenery:Rectangled & Triangled

Hope there’s some inspiration for even the non-digi users amongst you!

Because I’m doing the Leading Lady gig this month, Julie & Shay also have generously given a $30 voucher for their store for me to give away.

All you have to do is leave a comment on any of the 4 blog posts over the next 4 Saturdays on this blog and this week tell me what topic or theme you’d love to see covered in a set of stamps. I’ll randomly pick a winner on October 31st and post their name on my blog on Sat Nov 1st.

To see all 3 projects, go and visit the Winnie & Walter blog

Can’t wait to be back next Saturday.. this time with some fun 3D projects! xx

Such fabulous cards, Keren … brilliant shaker and such lovely layering … I’m particularly taken with the natural look of the wooden ‘hugs’ with the branch and leaf cluster behind it! Stamp set topic … I’d love to see the Nativity make an appearance … it’s is the reason we celebrate Christmas, after all! Anita 🙂

Keren!!! I am so overwhelmed by all the beauty here … no I don’t have a cutting machine of any kind, but that doesn’t keep me from adoring what you have created =] I LOve the stippling, your darling combination of different W&W sets – and I’m hoping that Winter Wonderland is b.i.s. right now!! Thank you so much for sharing your abundant talents with us!

Let’s just say I had to pick myself up off the floor after visiting the W&W blog. These cards are such works of art, that I’m totally gob-smacked. When I thought I was done drooling over one of them, I saw another that just dropped my jaw. All those bead-filled triangles, the stunning woodgrain vellum (which incidentally I’m actually going to try) and then you top it off with those incredibly colored diecuts on your shaped card. W&W must be over the moon having you as their Leading Lady this month, I know I am. Just wanted to say thank you for your encouraging comments on my blog, as well. They’re so appreciated.

I love that layered shaker and WISH I had an electronic cutting machine! Maybe some day…
I’d love to see a Carousel with interchangeable horses/critters as a stamp/die set!

Keren, a lovey array of cards, showcasing your talent for creating magic with W&W products. Your third card, featuring the beautiful inking of the rose cutaway, is the star of the stage for me. Absolutely stunning!

I’ve seen all 3 cards over on the W&W blog and I’m just amazed at your creativity! I must learn how to weld better using my Cameo so I can try some of your ideas. Those separate shaker windows in your first fantastic card would test my patience though, I think!

SORRY – I forgot to answer your question Keren.
I mostly make birthday cards, so I would like to see a mix of fonts and greetings for birthday cards, inside and out. I want to make more cheery “just because” cards, so it would be a set that includes things like dropping by … to say hi, thinking of you, hello, howdy etc, also with a mix of fonts and sizes.

I don’t have an electronic cutter and you have made me look at digi files in a whole different way. Love the triangle shakers. Masculine themes are always interesting. Hugz

Love the triangle mini-shakers on your card, all are so beautiful. I would love to see more “mailable” cards, how to give look of layers without bulk.
