Tricky Surfaces

Thought I’d show you something I posted for Make The Day Special Stamp Store this week.
I combined several tricky surfaces and trying to photograph it was even more complex!

The base is a simple acetate one. We all know that’s hard to attach things to! I die cut the Neat And Tangled Triangle die onto some vellum and decided to mimic the triangle shapes with some stitching to adhere both surfaces together.

There is some stitching that’s seen- but I tried to sew it making as much hidden as possible.

It’s hard to see from the photo, but the vellum panel sticks off the side at an angle.

The circle is made using the Everyday Collection papers from Avery Elle plus the sentiment is some Flitter Glu onto vellum with Silver flakes. I’ve trimmed it out and attached it with tiny drops of glue behind the sentiment.

Just added a few of Little Things sequins from Lucy’s Cards and it’s done.

What are the hardest mediums you find using ?

See you soon xx

Beautiful card! I love all these pretty details and these intricate layers! My most frustrating product to use is flocking powder–what a mess, and I NEVER achieve the result I want
    Take care!

These both stymie me when it comes to attaching them to a card base. Simply brilliant that you sewed the vellum to the acetate. Looks delicate and etherieal to have all the elements floating. Amazing card, but then, I don’t expect anything less from your busy brain.

Great job Keren – very effective! I think vellum and acetate are the worst things to attach to anything else but sewing them together is a fab idea 🙂
