Speed Crafters Challenge!

Hi! I’m posting something different- I was chatting over on Twitter with a new blog friend (who’s very lovely and funny!) Ingrid about how long it takes to craft and we got onto talking about speed crafting. We decided to have a go ourselves- just for fun, & have a few friends join in too. It’s something that others might like to join in with so if you fancy it, do have a go and leave a link in your comments. If enough people want to join in, we might make it a regular thing!
These are the guidelines (or rules, if you prefer!)
1. Craft for no more than 10 mins
2. Mention the time it took you to create your project in your post (you might be super-speedy and it might take you less time… and it would be interesting to know).
3. You can create ANY project whatsoever
4. You can get your supplies ready before you hit your timer
Here’s what I made for mine…
Can you guess the time?
I have several observations from the process.
1. Don’t mist your cardstock..it won’t dry & when you blitz it with a heat gun, the cardstock warps.
2. Don’t use 3D foam pads- I wasted a minute or so simply peeling the silly backings off!
3. DO get all the supplies ready & have a rough idea of where you’re going.
4. It’s FAB- it makes you make split second decisions rather than umm’ing and aah’ing like I usually do.
From here, if you fancy a gander at what the other girls did… here are their links..go visit Nikki next from A2A Addicted to Art
Donna from Artfully Challenged
Pamellia from My Little Craft Things
and Ingrid from Ingrid’s Crafts Corner
In the interests of honesty- I did cheat..slightly. The card warped so much that I did in fact mount it on another piece of card just for photography purposes but didn’t add anything to the design. Will you let me away with that one..just this once?!!
See you later, for an Add a Little Dazzle post this afternoon
xx

Wow Keren, this is stunning! So far, I’m the only one who didn’t get my card finished! I will have to rethink my process for next time. It was still fun though!! Hugs 🙂

Oh no! I SO wish I could speed craft! It takes me so long to do even the simplest of cards. I’d get nothing done in 10 mins … and I’m not exaggerating! Clur x

Beautiful work Keren,it was so much fun,it’s amazing what you can do in 10 minutes but as you say it really depends on what medium you use….I steered away from all pastes!

I adore this card!! Everything about it makes me swoon … Unfortunately I couldn’t even think about speed crafting … My brain is getting slower … It’s an age thing!
