Hello Baby & Route 2!

Hi!
Hope you’re all ok. I’ve been lucky enough to get some Lawn Fawn stamps through recently and have been creating for some commissions and had a little fun with this card.
I used the waves from ‘Float My Boat’ but the main images are from ‘Hello Baby’
-such a cute set and yet doesn’t have to be used solely for baby cards! I thought the upturned umbrella would be a fun way for the duck to travel!
I added the hearts in the rain first and masked them while adding the raindrops. I’d already masked out the area for the duck to be in so the whole image didn’t look too cluttered. It’s nearly a one layer card- but I couldn’t help myself!!
At home, we’ve reintroduced the walks after tea. After lots of things getting in the way, we went on a ‘Route 2’ yesterday. It was the littliest’s turn to call the shots and at each junction decided exactly what route we’d be taking. Initially he loved the idea of being at the front and leading and being in charge. He got a little more apprehensive after a while once he realised that he had no clue where he was going.
Once we’d assured him that this point was actually part of the fun, he settled into and actually managed a round route that took us about 40 minute.
The fresh air was wonderful. As someone who works inside for most of the day, I miss the ‘green’ and clean air. Hopefully we might get chance to do Route 3 tonight. I’d not realised just how valuable it was for the littliest to feel that it was all down to him for a change and he relished telling Mum and Dad exactly what to do!
Hope you’re breathing in plenty of fresh air too! See you when I’ve planned out some exciting new projects!
x

This is so cute! I love how the clouds are kind of tilted and spilling the rain out just such a fun scene!

Such a sweet card – love the upturned umbrella! Your tea time walks sound like a great idea but I am too busy enjoying all of the extra crafting time I am getting whilst the World Cup is on….although interest may fade now that England is out!

Love the cute scene that you created! Totally gorgeous! I love your fun rule/game about walking together! Now I wish my kids are still little 🙂 These days they are the ones that lead the way and I am the one with no clue!

What a sweet sweet card!
Your walk sounds wonderful! I walk everyday at work…it is so cold in the office with the a/c that it helps me warm up!
