Hi from amazingly sunny here!
I’m showcasing a cute little set from Newton’s Nook with a 3D element using acetate. The set is called ‘Tweet Talk’
20140520-151958-55198092.jpg and I thought I’d have the little tweeters suspended from slim acetate strips to mimic them flying. It’s hard for you to see- but the too bird is actually sticking out of the front of the card- hanging on a ‘z’ shaped piece of acetate and so when the card is folded, the acetate will too so you can fit it into an envelope! ( just a little important!)

This set’s available from Make The Day Special here

Family life is slowing down a little- the end of exam season is nearly in sight. I for one will be holding an end of exams party- and possibly just invite myself! I may hold it in a coffee shop and will require peace, silence and delicious coffee washed down with a cake (yes, I know that that’s the wrong way around!)
Then we just have a tortuous wait until August- but that’s ok! I can wait!!
Only 3 more weeks.
3
More
Weeks.
I am comforting myself with the fact that May and June for the conceivable future will be dominated by revising.
And yes, I know we chose to have children.
The comment often given to me…
“Well you will have lots of kids”.
Yes; as they were born, Steve and I kicked ourselves at how crazy we were to have had a child -as fast forward 16 years we’d have stressed kids to care for!
We’re fortunate indeed.
Just gets a little stressy.
At least these are part of a small season- and I’m looking forward to it finishing 😉!

See you when I’ve tidied away discarded revision notes!! xx

What a gorgeous card and great idea to have the little birdie suspended on acetate! I remember those exam days, maths was always last and usually on my daughters birthday (or either side of it)! Boy, did we party after that! Fizzy pop and cake! C x

Love your card. I know that while you are in the throws of raising children time seems to go by so very slowly and fast at the same time. Then, before you know it, they are out of the house and having families of their own leaving you wondering where the time went. 🙂

I am so glad you are taking deep breaths and enjoying your children & their struggles with both exams and growing up. You & Steve have created a lovely Family, it’s fun reading about your exploits, it’s good to share and for me to see a non dysfunctional and happy Family!!!

I chose not to have children, didn’t meet the right man until it was too late, so have no idea of the stresses in raising kids but i can tell that you are an awesome Mum.

Fantastic card, love the birds on acetate, a fab idea:-) xxx

Sweet card, Keren. NN makes such fun stamps; and very high quality too. Love the ‘flying’ bird! May have to give that a try someday…lol! Kids. Best thing I ever did. And I know you know it’s worth every stressful minute. Neither one of us would trade one single second of our journeys with our kids for anything in the world. It sure is a good life. : )
