PaperArtsy & Demoing!

Hey! Yes, it’s definitely me. No, it’s something rather different. A little while back on Twitter the lovely Leandra Franich asked for volunteers to play 3Up Patwits. Not having a clue what it was but always up for something new, I volunteered, little realising it would end up being rather special!

A week or two later a larger than expected parcel arrived containing 2 stamp sets, some tiny tags, twine, a substrate, some buttons, chipboard type shapes, smoothy stamping card & a colour scheme. Here are the sets

The colour scheme- chocolate, blue and a greeny blue.
So not me either.
The substrate is the arched thing. I did some headscratching and realised it would make a lovely notebook holder.

The Challenge: I covered the substrate by using a white stain and leaving some of the colour showing through. I used the dauber to create the circular pattern. Using the ephemera buttons, I painted them with white stain & then used PaperArtsy paints over the stamps & stamped over the buttons.

I created a notebook cover, stamped with white pigment ink for the leaves & then kiss stamped onto the text stamps. I heat embossed the flower and sewed contrasting threads into it. I used some hole reinforcers to paint across and swiped the paint across them to give texture. I used the buttons to act as the closures with twine.

I have been amazed this week at all the different projects. Mine is up on the blog with some other amazing projects here
What I have changed my mind about is the box I placed PaperArtsy in. As far as I was concerned it was arty and painty and that was that. However their images will suit EVERYBODY. The recent JoFy range are great for CAS lovers like me and if you check further back on the blog this week you’ll see a whole host of surprising stamp sets.
I hope this might make you pop over to PaperArtsy
Here’s a close up

Apologies for the megalong post- but it was worth talking about a stamp company that you might have previously dismissed.

I’m demoing this month.

14th Abakhan Mostyn ( North Wales)
21st- Sophie’s Crafts, Oldham
28th Happy Stampers Festival ( exciting!!)

Well better dash, have lots of prep to finish before tomorrow’s demo. See you there x

I’m dropping in from the PA blog too having been a contributor to the challenge earlier in the week. I love the project you created with these fab stamps (can’t help being a tad envious of the ones you got to work with, lol), I love the colours you were given to work with too. The flower is gorgeous!

    Hugs
