Just Because & Allotments!

I think my cards are getting quirkier all the time. This just reminded me of strawberry picking. I’m linking with yesterday’s Moxie Fab ‘movement’ challenge. Trying to design movement into a card isn’t easy– it seems easier not to think about it. Anyhow- hope you can see your eye ( not literally!) wandering around the card. If it’s proving to have much of a directional influence- well maybe I need to learn a bit more on the design front!
I’m not going to keep up with all the challenges- but it’s fun to get my brain working again.
I have to share this little photo with you
It’s entirely real and its a marrow that my lovely friends gave me when we visited their allotment yesterday- amongst other delicious foods like beetroot, blackberries and other wonder foods. The marrow is very large and the kids decided it was like a baby and named it ‘Larry‘. I dropped it at one point and they were semi-cross that I might have injured him. They cuddled it like a baby and we found these pants up in a drawer. I have to interject that these undergarments are absolutely new– we got them free in a pack of a different size. What they were doing in there is anybody’s guess- possibly hiding from the potential trauma that is potty training. So- these pink pretties came in handy. The down side is that now we’ve named him/her- I’m going to have a job cutting into them. I’ll feel almost cruel. Marrow recipes anybody???!!
Better dash, have tea to make and one that doesn’t include Larry ( at least for today anyway!). See you when I’ve summoned up the courage….

This is such a different card, it makes you smile and think of summer…………..Marrow… cut into rings and baked in tin foil in oven, fill rings with a bolognese meaty (mince ?) sauce, cover in cheese or cheese sauce and return to oven for 10 mins to brown delicious and simple and a change from pasta. Or…stuffed with mince and roasted or…x

I love the sweetness of your design, those papers are so fresh and look great with your berries – and YES you do have wonderful movement here! The banners have a lot of visual weight which is, transferred to the lovely berry swirl, which lets go into those little blossoms which bring your eye down to the sentiment :0)!
The marrow is hysterical. If my children see this picture I can see a marrow hunting expedition in which they’ve already picked out the underwear …!! (Tons of fun!)
