Happy Monday. It’s a lovely rainy gray day here. Perfect because I’ve a poorly one off school and wet weather makes it easy to stay contentedly indoors. As none of the teachers will see the blog I’m quite safe posting what’s coming their way at the end of this week with the end of this school year.
The little oval necklace was created with an oval glass piece and some Simple Stories paper. My favourite one is shown at the end- a square design with a little resin flower. The packaging box is really tiny. It’s a Stampin’Up! Milk carton die and I’ve cut out a door from the side, added a thick acetate window and added a handle and a little Velcro fastener. There is a smidgeon of Echo Park paper for the butterfly. I wanted to seal the box, but wanted the teacher to see what they’d got without ripping the box open!

These little jewellery pieces are going to be make my list of ‘to-do’s for Christmas. This was the second attempt. The first I tried actually attaching a complete flap on top of the acetate window. Worked fine but using the cut out piece of card from the centre of the carton- and only cutting out the top 3 sides leaves the bottom side to be folded and therefore is quicker.

The getting ready for Christmas thing has extended to Sock Monkeys! I love making these crazy creatures and dug out some socks in preparation. If you want a fan tutorial check out this link

20120716-131643.jpg and this is quick snap of Will’s monkey. I’d better begin now as I’ve at least 8 to make! I can already feel the blisters on my fingers forming!!

See you when I’ve finished trying to take in all the excitement about CHA! xx

UPDATE! Due to requests – all of the jewellery findings, backs and glass tiles are from here Jasmin Studio Crafts. Enjoy!!
