Modern Weddings & Counting Down

August 19, 2011 at 1:07 am 2 comments

I was asked to do a simple wedding card recently and this is what I came up with. Sometimes it doesnt need much to say everything..well everything that is important anyway! Lifetime promises made in a moment need celebrating in simplicity. Weddings seem to have got so complicated (and this is from a complete lover of wedding festivities).

The cog-like shape behind the button was a flower punched from the Boho Blossoms punch but if you square off the petals, it becomes a cog. I may try that on a couple of bloke cards too! The pearls on the die-cut letters seem to change the look of the letters somehow too.

You’ll be getting seriously short posts from me this week  I’m afraid. Hopefully enough to inspire you and not too much so that you fall asleep reading! I can feel the clock ticking.. can you hear it?..signalling the start of another year. Shoes bought, labels stitched and some written. Pens in pristine new pencilcases and shoes shinily grinning at me! There’s nothing quite like the promise of new beginnings is there?!

Speaking of new beginnings, it’s only 2 weeks until us demos get a sneak peek at the new catalogue and get to order so we can knock your creative socks off come October. Please let me know if you want the new catalogue so I know how many to order and that way you’re not befuzzled by all the newness come October Launch Party!

See you soon xx

Hi Keren, What a lovely card and so simple, I love it. Like the “cog” idea too, good idea for a mans card. Love Jean Thomas xx
